Too bad this is being held during the holidays. I'd drive the 6-7 hours to check out an estate sale that I knew for sure had quality sports memorabilia.

I'm having a garage sale on June 24th, admission will be $27.79. Please PM for Paypal address. Only 5 spots available. Admission guarantees you your choice of used plastic kitchen utensil to take home with you. Lots of lightly used linens, old puzzles, bike parts, my husbands old weight set and of course baseball cards. I have invited the cast and crew of storage wars who will hopefully show up and record this stupendous event.

would like to go but can't. I'm sure for 350.00 someone would do it.

I have never heard of an estate sale where you pay to go and why on earth would it be limited to 10? Sounds like a scam to me. Just my opinion.

so will there be a total of ten bidders?

    I could figure this out...

  • Probstein has a pretty good reputation. It's a bit strange to have a $100 fee but if it's only limited to ten people(which I would believe is the owners choice), I'd pay it if I had the funds to bid.

I'm not sure that those attending have to 'win' anything.

I don't recall hearing or seeing Rick say it was an auction......

It's a sale, with over 10k items there I'm sure there is enough to go around.

    Good for you.

Damn Rick you beat me to it.

Reading comprehension is lacking around here as you can see.
    Good for you.
  • If I were local, I would pay $100 to be able to cherry pick the items with just a few other people, but only because it is Rick overseeing the event. It would be mass chaos if 100 people showed up.

Rick, I would definitely love to hear how the event turns out, and the best of luck to you and your client!!!

At 47 yrs old, life insurance is very affordable. If the house is in foreclosure, seems as if he didn't get a policy ironed out. let this be a lesson for everyone here on the board. if you don't already have something in place, do it now.

Considering Mr. Ingstrup died only a couple of months ago, the non payment of the mortgage probably had nothing to do with his death. The family was probably behind on payments way before his death.

Could also be a situation where the family is quite a bit under water and they made a decision to stop making their payments notwithstanding the fact that they could.

Just too many unknowns here to make ANY conclusion.
