I don't have the heart to make him sweat... But did just post here instead of letting him know via PM that I got it!

curly, I just about fell over when I saw there was nothing but postage on the box.
I haven't been to the post office since last Saturday so it's most likely been sitting there for days.
then self insurance may make sense.

I don't thnk it's correct either , ive been told once in the past i can not send cash in the mail by a USPS employee or i shouldnt because it's not insured or wont be.
I struggle to see the point of the thread , if someone trusted me enough to send funds without heavily tracking etc i doubt id be looking to make that person feel foolish for having trusted me,perhaps they were.
situation for both parties.

But if I was buying from the OP I would feel about as save sending cash to him as sending a check.
Sorry but some guys are know to be in the circle.
<< <i>Bad idea by the sender! Had the parcel been lost, it would have been a very uncomfortable situation for both parties. >>
Why would it have been uncomfortable for the seller?
If honest, known parties are involved then this is no different from paying a dealer cash at a show. Except, of course, for the very small possibility the envelope is lost.
If the two are untrusting strangers then okay, it would be awkward. In that case, the buyer deserves a slap in the head.

Why would you even want to insure cash? A Postal money order is cheaper (and relatively safe).
