As the season turns cold....leaves fall, ice begins to form here and there....the frosty windshield....

Thoughts turn to a hearty beef roast with yorkshire pudding, harveys bristol creme, and old state coppers.

Just got done re photographing my Vermont Coppers trying for a perfect capture of the exact tone and color.

One of my favorite Confederation era coppers, the Vermont landscape. This was a political piece because the legend on the reverse, "Quarta Decima Stella," "14th star," was a lobby effort for Vermont to become the 14th state. That happened in 1791. This coin would be a "WOW!" if was not struck off-center.
