Is this Franklin Proof a Type 1?

Was looking at an eBay auction. Here is a link to the auction. And here is a pic so you don't have to do the link if you aren't interested. So is it type 1 or type 2?

I believe that is a Type II eagle. I don't collect Franklin Half Dollars, aside from the coins in my Proof sets, but I don't think that this is a big deal, except for the 1956 Proof coins and the business strikes. The Type II eagle appeared on all Franklin Half Dollar Proof coins from 1957 to '63 and on some 1956 Proof pieces.

I really had a problem with this coin, could not get the haze off of it, so just as I was
about to drill a hole in it Al, (keets) asked me to back off and send it to him, off to Al
and NCS. The results are seen above and was the quickest 1200 I ever made, after
putting it out for 2k or best offer. Lasted 19 mins on ebay.

I believe the type one has 5 feathers each side, while type 2 has 4

feather count on that suggests type 2

I do not collect franklins and I deffinately do not keep any around
therefor I am not an expert, but that pic deffinately looks like a 2

hey Bill, i remember that coin well. i think i dipped it first and then we agreed it should go through NCS due to the possible value. what is encouraging about coins like this is that they can still be found and bought at bid/ask. about 3-4 years ago i found a 1955 Franklin still in the flatpack cello that graded PF68UCAM. i believe it to be a combination of two things-----a lack of interest on the part of sellers(both dealers and collectors) as well as ignorance regarding price.

let me add the first two pics before sending out were AFTER I dipped it, that haze was hanging on for dear life.

Had Keets not pointed out what exactly the coin was it would have been drilled and hanging from the tree
that xmas, and that is no joke.

    seriously
