Post a shooting medal, coin, round or etc. as I placed 1,2,2,1 in the annual sniper match!- Picture

1 hour south of San Antonio there has been sniper matches since Thursday and end tomorrow. The best military, law enforcement and contractors in the country are here. I placed 1st in 500 yards, 2nd in 600 yards, 2nd in 800 yards and 1st in 1000 yards! I am quite proud as I am using my HK 93 SG-1 for the first time in match. It is factory original (PSG-1 trigger pack, polygonal barrel, factory raised SG stock and so on just as it left the factory) except the optics are not factory as I need something a little more powerful and adjustable.

Post a coin, medal, round or what have you of a shooting or gun! I don't have any, but here is the rifle I used after I prepped it on Monday.

5.56x45mm- loves 75 gr. Hornaday TAP LEO/Military Ammunition, not the black box .223 or 55gr/62gr 5.56.

  • I think 1 gun thread in a precious metals forum is quite enough. This is a very lame attempt at making guns PM related and it should be deleted by the mods. Wanna talk guns, or gun contests? There are plenty of forums out there for that. This isnt one of them.
  • Congratulations Tex, that's impressive; and too me precious metals and guns go hand in hand. image

  • Gecko109, I actually feel quite sorry for you. Coming on here like you own the boards or are a moderator is quite sad, but the fact that you do it quite often is even more sad. Add in that very, very few like you here and even fewer respect you is bad, but what is worse is you public rant and raves about leaving. You criticize my thread and try to rain on my great day, but please tell me how do you pissing and moaning, cry baby "I am leaving" threads are on topic. Then you come back a few days later as you obviously have nothing better in life (real life, not the life you pretend to have and lie about and get busted in the OFR, right?) and need to come back and attack others! You need to look in the mirror and figure out why you are so disrespectful to others? The figure out why you come here and lie about your employment and you assets and get busted and pretend no one saw it or they forgot. For those who don't know, our Gecko109 lied on the Open Forum Refuge and has continued to lie. He photo shopped coins and pretended he was this and that until he got busted and finally came clean. The thread is gone now, but everyone over there knows. What was it gecko, a fireman and 1/4 AGE's? Aren't you or were an unemployed computer something and pretended you were a full time firefighter and admitted you only had 1 or 2 1/4 AGE's and photo shopped a bunch to spell out I LOVE FIREFIGHTERS?? Something like that, I can post over there and ask then link it, but I would prefer not to embarrass you anymore, you are sad, sad, sad.

So why don't you ignore my thread, not respond and go do something else like pour some 8 gram silver bars and sell them for 1/2 of melt like your last business venture and come here and cry?? What else do you have?

Hey maybe you can get upset and do your what, 8th or 9th, boo-hoo-hoo I am leaving so everyone can respond not to let the door hit you in the arse on your way out and go troll elsewhere for 3 days before you come back this time? Maybe go do some more research on your next FAKE career? Photo shop some more panda's or hey make some more "I scored" stories.

Either way I don't care as you are a pathetic, mean, lonely, fibber.

  • I'll add my 2 cents worth, or better yet because pennies couldn't buy a glass of milk, I'll add my 1 oz yellow metal worth........ I see nothing wrong with a forum member stating a fantastic accomplishement and then corrulating it with PM's.

Another example....... I just bought 10 Canadian Maples, show me a picture of your Maple tree. Or how bout, I collect silver art bars, post a picture of your favorite artist.

Topic is totally related and thanks to the moderator for letting this ride.

Fantastic accomplishment by the poster, way to go!

Me and TN don't see eye to eye on many things but I think the topic is appropriate. Sniping is crucial in war and civil defense, and is thus also celebrated in history and thematically in art bars. If I had some Swiss Shooting Medals or something like that, I'd post them. Good job on the sniping, TN.

Here's a one ounce round celebrating Texas, and it has a nice little cannon on it, and the motto "Remember the Alamo", which if I'm not mistaken involved a lot of heroic sniping.

I think you might have avoided some of the hostility here had you titled your thread something like "Slightly OT - just wanted to share my joy."

Doing so would prevent those that don't want to share it from reading the thread. I'm happy to share it. Congratulations.

OUTSTANDING TN.... great accomplishment. I once had a chance at an HK93, passed it up and have regretted it ever since. Congratulations, that is exemplary shooting. Cheers, RickO

I did some rifle shooting as part of an international combat pistol competition down at Camp Robinson....
I LOVED the moving forward on the firing line, at half step, as a group. Had a lot of fun in the pits too.
    Congratulations.
