Ebay is paying the most by far. Get your money before you ship and get top dollar with ebay. Ebay and paypal suck in terms of the way they treat their users, but like most will testify here it always produces top dollar. I would never send more than $500 worth of coins through the mail to any company without prior payment unless I was buddy buddy with them or have a close prior working relationship. One guy was btchn the other day how he sent $25,000 worth the bullion to a place in maryland and never received payment. Everyone, has their own threshold for risk, so they should think for themselves, but my experience has always been top dollar on ebay.
Since everyone has to wait until they are in-hand to sell on ebay, I think that will be the real gauge...and I honestly think they will be at more than $525 a set (even though that's a great price for a fast turnaround!)

What you mean everybody? There are over 200 listings up on ebay right now.

OK, well 200 people got through, but ebay is canceling all pre-sales. Which I think is a good thing. I'd rather have them in hand before I sell anyway.

OK, theoretically. Their policy for these specific sets states that you need to have a picture of the actual box/coin with your username in the picture. So theoretically, no presales are allowed on ebay. Of course there are ways around it, there are ways around everything (theoretically )

too many people in my view bought just to flip.
I am concerned that expectations may just be too high on this set?
or is the fact that so many are willing to flip so quickly means that they think the price has already gone up more than they expected? >>
I think this set has a few hundred to go if you are willing to slowly retail them either in a storefront or ebay. Think about it, the 2006 set with a mintage of 250000 is $300 wholesale $350+ retail and has 3 coins. The RP has the 250K mintage, '06W unc 470K, and the proof over a million. The 25th anniversary set has two key coins that have a mintage of only 100K: the reverse proof and "S" mint. You ger the added bonus of three additional coins. This is probably a $750+ set before it peaks.
I was able to get some from the mint but just bought ten sets at a much higher price off the BST as well. Probably not done buying yet either.

Highest offer so far appears to be $525 on the BST.

How many sets was he looking for?

Do you think that we'll get them before the Baltimore show next month? I wouldn't mind selling a few and using the money to buy a few coins with numismatic significance.

About 250 eBay auctions running at this time and the average completed auction is close to $600 per set & rising. Any wild guess what a 70 PCGS graded set might possible go for?

Highly unlikely for a complete PCGS 70 graded with the 'First Strike 25th Anniversary Set' label due to the bullion coin. My guess would be $20,000+.

So who will First Strike it rich? Wouldn't bother me if PCGS didn't give an 70s like they didn't a number of years ago. If all the coins in a $20K set milk spotted, how big of a check do you think PCGS would write?

How much are you offering?

BlueMoon offered $40 over per set, funny.
