<< <i>This is probably something that comes up frequently, but I am just curious how your husbands/wives, girlfriends/boyfriends feel about you and coins... My girlfriend pretty much hates it...she knows the collector's universe logo and yells at me if I'm on here, ebay, the pcgs price guide, etc...so I have to be sneaky >>
I think that not informing your spouse totally of your collecting is the absolute worst thing you can do. When the widow/widower has no idea of what's there, good or bad, they are ripe for the picking.
With that said, my wife is involved in my collecting and business, and we have assembled respectable collections of Half Cents and Hard Times Tokens over the years. However, even if she did not collect, our financial relationship is transparent.
Ask the copper guys about us; we wrote each other's checks when the other one bought a coin!
Very supportive. I always joke with her saying that every coin I buy ends up costing me double the price because I have to spend that much more on her!
My wife knows and supports it. She sees packages coming and going but she doesn't ever ask "how much?"
She has at least a few coins on her desk...a Morgan she made me dip, an OR commem, a RB one cent piece from Holland (her birth year and place), and a modern silver Lincoln commem. She couldn't name these coins if you asked her.
We travel a lot and she always asks me to tell her a cool coin story. She listens and asks questions and I've even heard her pass along some stories to others.
She gets anything she wants and makes most of the big decisions, like house and car purchases, where we vacation, etc. I think she's a lot smarter than I am. Lance.
My wife was, at best, ambivalent about the hobby until, about ten years ago, she discovered she had a couple of ancestors that were officers of a couple of National Banks and these relatives had signed National Bank Notes. I remember at the ANA in Baltimore in 2003, she was going through dealers' stacks of National Bank Notes like a seasoned professional. This past June, I attended the International Paper Money Show in Memphis and there happened to be a note signed by her great-great-grandfather (and namesake of her father) in the Memphis auction. I was given simple instructions - "don't come home without it." Like a good husband, I kept my bidder paddle up in the air and followed orders.
When your wife spends as much (or more) than you do on the hobby, it's easy to get along.
My wife approves of my coin collecting. Collecting keeps me working. If I wasn't working I would be drinking beer. When I drink beer I think I'm funny and can sing. My wife approves of my coin collecting.

At least she's got a sense of humor, definitely a keeper!
60 years into this hobby and I'm still working on my Lincoln set!

Could she be just a tad bit clearer in her feelings toward the hobby?
