Found this metal detecting, and whatever its environment was, certainly toned it. Never really see any clad toners, so is it worth throwing in the binder, or just toss it in the ol' change pile to roll up?

Unless it was slabbed, it likely wouldn't be worth much over face, but if you like it and want to put it in the raw collection, it only costs you $0.10 to take it out of your pocket now
I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment
keep it till then.
Oh, and if the spot is a discreet location I'd be burying a lot of silver! Love to see what that earth
does to silver in ten years or so.

I suppose someone could have AT'd it, and then threw it on the ground in disgust - never to be seen again!
Many members on this forum that now it cannot fit in my signature. Please ask for entire list.
Ive dug clad dimes and after awhile they look like old brown small pennies. ones not in the ground too long get dark in parts and parts stay light...but as to these colors.............uh.......i dunno. But, I guess, depending on where you dug it...could be.
If I had it my way, stupidity would be painful!
<< <i>That is rare for a dug, clad dime... usually turn red/brown. No doubt about it being dug though...Cheers, RickO >>
I'm sure it was a recent drop, either right on top, or just below the grass. Once it slips below the dirt, they do become that awesome brown color - and ready for Coinstar!
that's from longer term stowage in sulfur envelopes. Most don't seem to find that look all that exciting....at least not on MS seated coins.
If you don't spend it, in 10 yrs it will be worth a nickel.
