Friday Metal Porn

Here's what I've picked up lately:

image

Clockwise from the top left: a 2011 "W" Silver Eagle, 2.5g Pamp Fortuna, John Wayne silver round, 2012 Silver Dragon, and my latest Gold Buffalo

So yes, I must take some measure of responsibility for the recent price drops. I hope this picture atones in some small way. image

I agree, it does sort of look like Gary Cooper or Paul Newman.

Here is one of my ebay purchases this week. Strickland bars show up infrequently.

Yeah, not the best likeness and the angle of the picture doesn't help. Looks better in person. If he was holding that Colt Single Action Army...

I saw one of those at one of my area dealers a few weeks ago but I did not buy it at that time because I saw some other silver art bars that I wanted at that time.

I'm ashamed to display what I bought in the past week because most of it was about 17-20% of the 25% of 2 days ago. image My head is still spinning, BUT I am optimistic that Silver will bounce right back to around $40/oz relatively soon.

Thanks..but did you mean to say $2,720?...I'm sure Provident is not that stupid to sell below melt.

How big are those 20ths? Are they the same diameter as the 1/10ths but thinner? I can't imagine sub-dime size on them...?

You mean how small are the 20th oz. It was a good deal though.
The 3 on top are 10th oz for you to compare.
I like big coins but I prefer to have more small coins than just a big one.

Those 20's don't look too much smaller than the 1/10s. I'm guessing they're thinner then (never seen one in person)?

Sorry, I missed it in your previous post. Yes, they are thinner indeed. The diameter is only a couple of mm smaller.
