Do the people who work in that factory (i guess you'd call it that) get paid in rounds, or do the get a paycheck, or do they have the option? image
I'd want at least 25% of my pay to be in Silver...I can't see how you could get it any cheaper, legally and without working at a coin store ripping off little old ladies like Phils thread was about awhile back.

NO, that's not a knock against Phil. He didn't rip the old lady off he spoke of in his thread, he just thought it was ok to do it (unless I totally misunderstood what was said). I'm not here to judge image

Pretty neat that the 'tube' was around 800oz. Interesting to see just how small that is.

Perhaps you should go back and read that thread Rich. If I thought it was "ok" to rip off little old ladies, then why have I not ripped off ANYONE in ANY deal ever in my life? Its too bad you clearly missed my point about personal responsibility. But thats fine......that is a dying concept in America these days anyway. image

Read what my very first comment was on that thread...it goes, "It takes 2 to do a transaction."
Just because you know what it's worth and after a feeling out period you determine that the other person doesn't know what it's worth, doesn't give you (or anyone) justification to take advantage of that ignorant person.
THAT is the dying act these days. How do those that do live with themselves is all I was/am saying.

Getting back to what this thread is about, in the very beginning of the video, what are those things (templates) that they are stuffing into the hot pot to melt? They look like the things that would be left after putting a model car together when I was a kid, except they are silver?

I think that is the remnant of silver strip after they've punched out 1 oz. (or some other size) silver bar blanks for striking. It makes sense that they would melt and reuse it.
