Has anyone seen these? I don't have an image and I forget was casino its from.
But I have the chance to buy a set of 4 1.5 ounce silver strikes from a 1971 Reno, Nevada Casino.
He want $75 per ounce and the set has 6 ounces X$75 for a total of $450

I've never seen one, but I would never pay over melt for one.

Unless it's a rare issue I'd pass at melt.

Sounds very expensive to me. I have many Casino chips... and only super rare ones reach that price - including those with a silver insert. Is it a chip or just a token?? Cheers, RickO

It's completely silver, no brass ring
1.5 silver strike each from 1971.

I have not been able to find it through a google search

Some of the higher face value Strikes do not carry a brass outer ring. The $10 Strike, however, does and even some of the $20 Strikes. A scan or link might help...btw I've never heard of a Strike made in the 1970's...most are 1990's or early 2000 vintage.

Sorry I don't have any images, I had a booth at the LB show and packed up left already
I do remember he told me it was from the 70's but he could have been wrong.

I will have to check him at the next show.

    Thanks for everyone's helpimage
