So you're now his interpreter? LOL

Seems like you online poker boys don't have much to do since the major poker websites shut down to US users. I guess ya can't stand all that money you're saving, or perhaps the B&M games aren't your cup of tea. Don't worry about it, I think some states will be back in action one day, and then you'll be losing all your hard earned money again before ya know it. >>

lmao, I didn't have a real job the whole time I was in college and lived like a rockstar and managed to save $40,000 by playing online poker. I would multi-table for 6-8 hours a day unless I had some hardcore partying to do and averaged $1000/week with little to no effort.

All of the laws have made the games a lot harder in the past few years because most of the dead money wouldn't even bother trying to get money online because it was so hard. Take that a step further now, and it's all but impossible.

Before you make a blanket statement about all people losing, keep in mind that there are a lot of winners out there too, just not near as many as the losers. It's that way in all walks of life and there is nothing that you nor any democrat, socialist, general naysayer can do about it. Sucker be a sucker and winner be a winner, simple as that.

That statement is not politically correct. In fact it may be racially insensitive. In the future we should say "The Polar Bear is calling the Snowman white."

You can say that again. LOL

I'll be back when the OP posts scans of the PSA slabbed cards. This isn't checkmate yet although I'll admit my queen may be in trouble...but taking a second look at the pics, I noticed a small ding on one of the posted cards on the back, which as the OP may or may not realize, the best grade you're gonna receive on a dinged card is a PSA 6, meaning it's an EXMT card. It can sometimes be impossible or close to impossible to see a small ding on the front of an internet pic because the scan fills it in - on the back it can be more noticable. That storage box was very mangled...it would be entirely possible that the cards are slightly dinged, which would mean my premise on the thread is correct.

So I've put down my plate of crow until the results from PSA are posted. image

Sorry to say that this card will be a PSA 6, perhaps a 6.5 - the other cards I couldn't see clearly enough from the pics to make a precise determination one way or the other...but in any event, PSA will make the final call.

Hope ya have better luck with the rest of the cards...but again, if they have even just one ding, a 6 or 6.5 is the best you're gonna receive.

<< <i>I am a big fan of the underdog in life. I overcame a lot in my life to get myself and my family where we are. I delete more responses to a few of the crappers on here than I post, but I get caught up when someone gets out of line. I am a defender of the underdog. Oprah by numbnuts standards.

You can't change people in life only try to inspire them. If that doesn't work then you change how you react. There's just not much else to do.

So I will react like this...you€€><~, mother %#}>*+, no just kidding, lol.

Some get it some don't. When someone gets lost to ignorance in their own surrounding there's not much you can do to keep it at bay.

Steve you are the greatest, I can't wait for your next post, nobody is worthy, we all want you to post more please.

Some get it, some don't, so what...

Edit: I took down my white flag. Maybe Mr Intel could simply apologize and move on. If he changes 5%, that's better than nothing at all, right?

And I sincerely hope the OP will post some more scans. I would love to see what your sending in, and the results when they pop!! We are all routing for ya to get some good grades, and make a little money. Best of luck, and may your eye be that of an eagle! >>

We're done with the silly arguing and comments. I'm staying on topic and if some here don't, then there's nothing I can do about it.

I agree with ya, I'd like to see some more scans as well, but I have a feeling the OP may not post again until receiving the cards back from PSA....in any event, that's up to the OP.

Part of me wants to be right about the lot being bunch of EXMT cards, but a larger part of me would like to see the OP make a nice score. Heck, I may even buy one of those Robin Roberts PSA graded cards off him, if it grades high and if he's selling at the right price, Robin Roberts being one of my favorite players.

You read my mind...I just posted that - LOL

Doesn't matter...I'm sure the OP couldn't care less one way or the other. If I'm right I'm right...and if I'm wrong I'm wrong...same with anyone else here...to me it's all part of the fun of offering our opinions and viewpoints. I respect the members here who had the stones to make a call before the OP posted the pics. Some were correct and some were incorrect. The lot is certainly better than I thought...but we shall see how the cards grade for the final results...and whether or not the time and effort involved for the OP was worth it versus just working the Walmart night shift. image

Sometimes I bust wax for fun and have hit some decent scores from boxes and packs I bought off ebay. I just bought a raw collection of vintage football from an experienced auction house and doubled my money. I made a living off playing poker as my sole source of income for 6 years and parlayed that into a house and ownership of 2 restaurants; now I play for fun sometimes and still remain profitable when I do.

See, here's the thing - this isn't a "Philly sports talk show". And the dirty little secret is that when people call in to those Philly sports talk shows and act like jerks, they're still jerks even though they're on a Philly sports talk show. I hear this same type of reasoning from my sister-in-law - "I'm from New York so it's OK that I have an attitude". Nah, really it's not.

I honestly don't have a problem with you, just the line of thinking that you're showing in this paragraph. Maybe just take a moment to rethink the "it's ok because I'm from Philly" thing and remember that, well, this ain't a sports talk show.

<< <i>I still wanna know Steve where your cards are at? Do you collect, buy, sell, flip, sort, open, save, grade?

Or is the name Sideline Steve true to the meaning? I don't dislike you, honestly, just your abundance of posting. Is it just because negative attention is better than none?

You and many on here have strong opinions which is great, and why like you said this forum and members are truly Awesome. It's the abundance and overkill of your posts. They are very redundant. I guess mine are too, they are only to assist in awareness. That obviously doesn't matter. Kind if like a bully if you think about it. Everyone keeps saying stop, your too much, etc, but the more that occurs the more you want to do it.

Debates are fun I agree, but this really isn't about the box of cards is it. It's about character and your cooth. I guess this is the wonderful legacy your building. Good for you.

    Take care, >>

<<< Do you collect, buy, sell, flip, sort, open, save, grade? >>>

    All of the above.

Sorry, I don't consider myself a bully, although some have called me that, and I try to correct their viewpoint because I don't like bullies.

I continued to post on this thread because the thread is interesting, otherwise I wouldn't continue to post here...

...contrary to rumor, CU does not pay money for posting. image

The way you keep harping on this, it's like you think I'm trying to irritate you or something, when nothing could be further from the truth. I've said this before and I guess I'll say it again, I come to CU to relax and enjoy myself, sometimes take a break from work during the day as I have a very stressful, pressure filled job. CU is not stress to me, it is my relief to let off some steam, enjoy myself and have some fun, and learn a few things, even a lot of things. Lately, I've been lurking mostly on the coin forum because although I've been also collecting coins a long time, I have a ton to learn about PCGS grading and other factors regarding coins. Learning card grading I don't think is all that complicated although of course it is a skill...but coin grading is significantly more complex and it intrigues me.

So I enjoy both the card and coin forums, as well as Sports Talk and some other forums as well. CU is the perfect forum for me as it encapsulates all my collecting interests...I hope you enjoy it and have as much fun here as I do.

BTW: I'd love to see a Phillies - Red Sox World Series, and hope you come over to Sports Talk if it happens...but bring your "thick skin" over there. Perhaps you've been over there but I just didn't see you.

    I don't post like I used to.

But, it doesn't mean I don't enjoy CU - it seems everyone is enjoying the debate and that's cool.

I will say - I used to buy 50, 100, 200 card lots of 50s, 60s cards - usually coming in at from 50 cents to 2 bucks a card - cheaper for the 60s.

They pay off very nicely since in the lots are cards anywhere from Ex to Mint.

You spun it a bit as usual...I said it doesn't prove anything unless it's audited...but in any event...show us on the internet where you posted all that information? Or is it basically the same bluff you did with WinPitcher? The fact is the big money made at online poker is suckering others into playing and earning money off them from affiliate commission programs...you very well may have made a small or large fortune at online poker, but it wasn't in the playing, it was in the affiliate commission programs, and an audit would show that.

BTW: You had your opportunity to do all this on another forum, two other forums in fact, and you never showed up...so stop with your nonsense in which the discussion about this you know the moderators here aren't going to allow. I don't feel like discussing it much anymore anyway except in a gambling recovery viewpoint. You can spew whatever BS you want, you had ample opportunity to do so on two other forums and you mucked your hand.

You're a very clever guy and I would trust you on an ebay or BST transaction...but I don't believe hardly a word you say about online poker. You already had your chance, the game's over as far as I'm concerned. And I expect now some of your online poker playing friends or alt-ID's here to dispense with the "moron" comments, like they always do whenever somebody challenges you like I did here in this thread...so go ahead, let the name calling begin...and try to come up with some new insults, we're tired of the same old, same old ones. Good for you, I'm glad you won. I think your pics say it all with no further comment needed except how gamblers always brag about their wins, but either understate or don't mention their losses...and basically everybody already knows this.

I'm glad you're working on your cards for grading, and doing that and perhaps making money at that, rather than pathetically throwing your money away in a casino. I'm glad Lee is doing a good job buying and selling cards on ebay and making money there. I don't root against gamblers...never have and never will...it's the casinos and gambling websites that exploit gamblers which angers me. Even the affiliate commision hustlers, most of them, if not virtually all of them, windup losing back their commission money to the gambling website anyway, so while they think they're being clever promotors of gambling and earning money, they actually windup in the long run, just being a stooge for the gambling website.

But at least you're true to form with your "moron" comment, right on cue as expected.

So I misconstrued WinPitcher's post...so what...like it is always easy to figure out what WinPitcher is saying (just kidding Steve)...however the rest of my comments still stand.

Look...you're Lee's friend and I respect that...and I've told you this before but it doesn't seem to do any good...my beef is with the gambling websites and casinos and how they exploit gamblers, and they do...my beef it isn't with you or Lee or anybody else here except when I see a scammer come on here, then I'll give him the yell that he deserves...but if you want to continue to take it personally Nick, then it is what it is, and there's not much I can do about it, except that I will respond accordingly when I feel like it and when necessary.

But this is getting very old, and boring to me...I've become much more interested in the political arena, but I'll always love cards and will continue to post my opinions and viewpoints here, as I've already noted in this thread.

As far as this topic in this thread...I've spoken my peace and that's that...and that's all.

BTW: I think one day you should get into the political arena yourself...you seem to love to argue and you'd probably be good at it. I'm a Tea Party supporter so i guess you'll likely support the far left candidates - LOL. The far left supporters and politicians relish in name calling so you'd fit right in. image

    It's like the old saying:

How do you make a million dollars from gambling?

    Start with two million. >>

ya never know Steve. it might just mean that no one else was able to take it away while it was still full.

    +1 for train wreck.

You started this, not me. When I first started posting here over 4 1/2 year ago you accused me of being part of some poker affiliate that was trying to sign up new players. How the hell could you make such a stupid and unfounded statement like that? That, and that alone, is the reason I know you are a moron with no brains. A normal person would not pull such ridiculousness out of thin air.

My solid standing within this this forum is beyond reproach and you had the audacity to question it before it ever got started. Who have you ever helped here (and not with your inane droning that wasn't asked for)? Who have you ever sent free cards to? No one, that's who. Just go away, or stay and be my target. Either way works for me.
