How many of you realize, that "German Silver"

does not contain any trace of silver?
The name German silver or nickel silver is misleading since it has no silver content, but is an alloy of 60 per cent copper, 20 per cent nickel and 20 per cent zinc.
I've managed to have numerous fraudulent listings removed from eBay, where the seller is selling their bars as "silver bullion." The most common German Silver bar that's being auctioned, is the "1 oz German Silver Buffalo Bar." Don't get scammed by bidding on those.

You would think so, I'm always amazed at the bid idiots on eBay, bidding up this junk to $40+ per bar and with the sellers laughing all the way to the bank.
Many members on this forum that now it cannot fit in my signature. Please ask for entire list.

Agree---perfect metal for knife construction---attractive silver in color, can be easily polished, inexpensive, and it is fairly resistant to corrosion.

He was talking about the bolsters. The blade is only one part of a knife.

Sample report to ebay:
"German silver is a nickname for an alloy
of inexpensive metals than contain no silver.
Seller has listing in silver bullion category
to mislead buyers into thinking they are
purchasing the much, much more valuable
silver bars. Violates ebay's search and
browse manipulation policy"
