    Joe,

Great to see that you are down to needing only 2 more cards. BTW, it's nice that you have Kareem with his entire name. More importantly, how is your daughter? She just turned 2, right?

There is a guy on SCN (Carl) who would undoubtedly pay big money for your Jimmy Walker. It's the last one he needs.

Sorry to see, Joe! I wish I was a player for this but I only need like 4 of them and the price would be too high for the whole thing.

Joe ... best of luck with the sale. Hope it brings a good price ... I know how hard you worked on that set.

good luck with the auction...i may put in a bid...what do you think the retail price should be?

also, do you know how many of the signed players are deceased? i mean that question with all due respect.

awesome collection, the amount of dedication to get them to sign...hats off..

your passion and dedication is what collecting is all about...sorry to see you part with it

  • Hope you get at least $3,000 for it . I got 86 and 30 are slabbed . 25 or the 26 Hall of Famers that I have are on Red Flips . I was considering Heritage as well .

That is a hefty buyers premium 19.5% .

Give or take a percent or two, I'd say that is what most of the larger auction houses charge.

  • It is at $2,355 , you got a lot of time on it . It only take 2 serious bidders to have a war . It is mostly very nice cards. I spent about $600 just getting 29 slabbed. I'd love to have all my 1969s slabbed. I hope it hits the $4,000 estimate. I was fortune enough to get almost all of them by mail, I got 73 of mine for free ttm

if i were into basketball there is no question id be bidding on this...all of those sigs and cards for 3k def sounds like a great deal...especially since, bam, you have them all minus the headaches of putting it together. would be a great introductory set into basketball collecting
i have a feeling you'll have a lot of last minute bidders, snipers..it appeals to so many diff collectors and retailer including AHs....good luck

I had that on my watch list but thought it ended tonight like the rest of the things I'm bidding on. I think that price was a steal.
    Buying US Presidential autographs
  • I ended up buying the set to get the Jimmy Walker to finish my signed 69 set and to upgrade a few of my others. I am going to end up breaking up and selling most of the remaining ones so if anyone is interested in any of the cards in the set or want to buy a lot of signed cards, pm me here or email me at cmgreenfeld@gmail.com
  • I can probably make a grand profit just parting out the cards . I was tempted to bid on the set and get the 12 that I need from it and sell the rest. Very of them would be an upgrade . Every single on I have except for Hal Greer and Dick Barnett is in sharpies that was the decider . I'd buy the Tresvant for $25-$30 right now.
  • I'd buy John Tresvant , Leroy Ellis, and Bob Rule

  • Here is my Jimmy Walker , Rick Adelman , and Lou Hudson that I sent out in the Blue Flip Special . Very Pleased with the Jimmy Walker , probably one of the 3 or 4 rarest cards of the set, from what I can see is that Walker wasn't much of a signer in his lifetime . He's been dead since 2007 . Rick Adelman is a tough signer as well. Lou Hudson will probably go in the Hall of Fame.

I like the Walker. I collect providence college cards and that's where he played.

What kinds of beads are you into?
  • Yep. Walker was the number #1 overall pick out of Providence. He's a tough autograph. I've only 2 other Walker 1969s signed. He was a great player overshadowed by Dave Bing and Nate Archibald.

My wife used to make lampwork beads and jewelry when we joined Ebay , she stopped making the beads after companies like drove the prices into the ground.
  • Love this set! I'm starting my own journey on the 1969 Topps NBA auto set and am willing to pay a premium if anyone has any for sale! Hit me up!
