That is awesome. Cunningham in any condition is awesome. Gus Johnson is the Ultimate Card and you have it. Congratulations. The slabbed ones look amazing.
Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.
<< <i>AMAZING Art Wiliiams!!! What's the inscription? I know he's Hambone but what does it say on top? >>
Thanks Mike - it says "From" - he had signed all the cards that way at this event apparently. >>
Super cool. I'm trying my darnest to get an address. I imagine if it were to actually get to him w/ 3 cards and $50 he'd sign them. Wouldn't chance that though.
Wonderful cards. Wish I had some of them I have 69 of them and once my Abdul Jabbar arrives from the Chicago Sun Times show it will be number 70. Anyone have a working Chet Walker address, I have 3 addresses. If anybody has any info on the newest HOFer Chet Walker. Send a pm thanks.
I know Art Williams lives in the San Diego area from an article I saw. I have never seen Luther Rackley tried him three times resulting in RTS from 2 and my card never returned from his work address. I would like to get Dick Barnett there is a Pennsylvania address floating around that isn't him.
First time I've seen this thread. Absolutely fantastic job and good luck finishing the set
So basically my kid won't be able to go to college, but at least I'll have a set where the three most expensive cards are of a player I despise ~ CDsNuts
That is an awesome set! 1969 is easily my favorite basketaball set of all time. After i get done with my 1959 baseball set I would possibly like to try and complete the 1969 basketball set but I dont reaally know anything about basketball cards. Does anyone here know around how much it would cost to build the 1969 set in Excellent conidition if I bought each card one at a time or in small groups? And Im talking unsigned cards.
What I Collect:
PSA HOF Baseball Postwar Rookies Set Registry- (Currently 80.51% Complete)
PSA Pro Football HOF Rookie Players Set Registry- (Currently 19.80% Complete)
PSA Basketball HOF Players Rookies Set Registry- (Currently 6.02% Complete)
Excellent Set so far airjoedan, You should upgrade Paul Silas who signs c/o the Charlotte Bobcats. Really awesome set. I have never seen anybody come that close to finishing the set.
<< <i>Were jerseys just like that or did they ask some of these guys to put on their jerseys backwards to show their name and number? >>
Trademark issues I believe - Topps didn't want to pay the royalties so if it had a team nickname on the front (like "Knicks") they had the guys turn the jersey around, so "Knicks" wasn't visible.
Your Gus Johnson is spectacular, Joe! I think I may have a way to contact Luther Rackley. We'll see! If you get to 98/99 you may have to buy the $500 Wilt on eBay.
Joe ... so happy for you! I know you have put in a lot of time, effort and money on this set. CONGRATS and keep us informed as to any additions.
STAY HEALTHY!

Hate to say it, but the hard part is going to be getting all 99 of them to go back and sign the checklist, so that the set is complete.
I am buying and trading for RC's of Wilt Chamberlain, George Mikan, Bill Russell, Oscar Robertson, Jerry West, and Bob Cousy! Don't waste your time and fees listing on ebay before getting in touch me by PM or at gregmo32@aol.com !
A fully autographed set is really cool to look at, i myself am working on a 1948 bowman baseball signed set...so if anyone can help me out there, that would rock

That is a tough project. I am just going for the 1948 Bowman Yankees. There are 10 different ones. I only have 4 so far
Nice set airjoedan. I have also been collecting this autographed set for years. I am down to 3: Gus Johnson,Ron Williams, and Luther Rackley. I have your 5, but no extras. I was wondering if you knew anywhere I might find these? I have tried Rackley at least a couple of times in the mail.

Does anyone know what one of these cards is worth if it was signed before he changed his name? I'm guessing these are ultra rare?
