Luther appears in the comments section and tells some funny stories. I was looking for a way to get a hold of him through the blog but it was a dead end to me. If any of you have ideas, I'm in for paying Luther $25/card for at least 4 cards. If you get a hold of him, add my offer to whatever you're offering him.
I used to compile a basketball address list. The last known address I had for him was in the early 2000's is listed below. If it doesn't work, try c/o Knicks Alumni. Good luck !!!
Luther Rackley 205 East 17th Street Brooklyn, NY 11229
Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.
StarTiger has this addy (although it's from 2007). HOWEVER, on WhitePages.Com, they also list it as a current addy:
Luther Rackley Jr 36 W 128th St, Apt 2 New York, NY 10027-3100
WhitePages.Com also has this addy for a Luther Rackley, Jr.:
Luther Rackley Jr 10 Fort Washington Ave, Apt 215 New York, NY 10032-8303

wonderful set just got my Bill Bradley back signed after 14 months and got Chet Walker back from a signing I am up to 73 of the 98. As for Luther Rackley the first address gets you a return to sender the second one I have been waiting on for a year and half.
Of the 73 that I have 63 of them I got for free ttm. It is a wonderful set and I getting every Hall of Famer in that set slabbed. I was very fortunate to get Robertson and Bradley for free.
$125 is a great price. If I had Rodgers and somebody offered me a $125 for him I would take it. The Guy Rodgers wouldn't break $100 on ebay. I collect the set and would be unwilling to go beyond $50 for a non-hall of famer that lived to be old.
hey airjoedan-sorry but I just can't turn loose of my Guy Rodgers. I'd love to buy or trade you out of the 3 I lack that you have, but I bet you feel the same.

Of my 81, only 4 need an upgrade. 2 that are personalized (Attles and Archie Clark) , 1 that is trimmed (Tresvant ) and 1 bad quality signature (Dick Barnett) .
I'm up to 83 . 2 Personalized and 1 trimmed. Got Billy Cunningham personalized to me and got Luke Jackson . Only living ones I need are Willis Reed, Hal Greer, Art "Hambone" Williams, Bob Rule, and Bill Bridges . Outside of 8 cards and I got about 75 for free .
96 is very impressive . I've seen a couple Wilts before. I'd love to send every single card to get authenticated. Right it is just the Hall of Famers that I got slabbed. Even with a special it would be close to $1,000 to get the remaining ones slabbed .
I just joined here but have been watching Joe's progress on this set on SCN for awhile. His set is a thing of beauty. I only need 2 to finish as well (Jimmy Walker and Guy Rodgers), but I will consider my set superior until Joe gets a checklist signed like me
I'm up to 84 . 2 Personalized and 1 trimmed. Got Billy Cunningham personalized to me and got Willis . Only living ones I need are Hal Greer, Art "Hambone" Williams, Bob Rule, and Bill Bridges .
There was a Wilt Chamberlain signed lightly in pen slabbed , the seller was asking either $399 or $499 , which is a little high. Chamberlain 1969 PSA DNA would be worth about $300 to $350 if it is a decent signature . Raw I wouldn't go higher than $200 . Lot of Wilt Chamberlain forgeries out there .
How many do you have slabbed? I got all the Hall of Famers slabbed except for Gus Johnson, Wilt Chamberlain , and Hal Greer . My Bill Cunningham is personalized : To Mike . I got Willis Reed almost out of the blue. I won love to find a Hal Greer 1969 Signed . Gus Johnson is a tad pricey and the only Wilt Chamberlains I've seen were crappy or fake . I got 84 and all of the Hall of Famers except for the 3 I mentioned slabbed.
Fabulous. How many do you have personalized . I got only 2 personalized (Billy Cunningham and Archie Clark) . I got the 24 of 27 Hall of Famers in the set slabbed on RedFlips . It is a great set, more than a quarter of the set is Hall of Famers (27/98 players). It beats every basketball set for rookies of Hall of Famers .
I only have 2 personalized: the Attles and Cunningham. I am actually ok with the Cunningham though. He went to high school with my mom and about 6 months ago I wrote him a real nice letter and he sent me a beautiful signed personalized card.
cardsnbeads: I have Rule and Williams if you are interested. I have some other extras too. Shoot me a message.
These are the ones I need from 1969-70 Topps Basketball . 1 - Wilt Chamberlain 12 - Gus Johnson 30 - Bob Rule 36 - Ron Williams 38 - Guy Rodgers 42 - Leroy Ellis 71 - Howie Komives 76 - Art Harris 83 - Happy Hairston 84 - Hal Greer 86 - Bill Bridges 87 - Herm Gilliam 92 - Flynn Robinson 96 - Art Williams
Looking to upgrade 18 - Dick Barnett 58 - John Tresvant
Also 32 - Archie Clark 40 - Billy Cunningham are personalized To Mike Of the 84 that I have , Only 3 of them I bought. Rick Adelman, John Tresvant and Jim Walker .
Awesome set. I love seeing pictures, of the cool cards that other's have, but it goes to a whole other level when you can feel the passion that person has for the particular part of his/her collection. Congratulations, and good luck on your hunt to complete the set.

If anybody has a Hal Greer signed 1969 Topps, I'm interested buying , trading . Also I'm looking for a working address from Hal Greer , Bob Rule , Art Williams , and Bill Bridges return my card unsigned even when I sent money.
Hal Greer has a ton of certified Autographs and never does shows or private signings . Any help with a 1969 Greer would be appreciated . Some guy has a forgery of Hal Greer 1969 on Ebay .
