Degussa bar and NTR question

tydyetydye Posts: 3,894 ✭✭✭
Does the Degussa bar carry a premium? And what about the NTR (marked Fine Gold 999.9 1 oz on flip side)? I can not find any ebay references to either. Picked this pile up this past weekend - paid 1600 an oz. The pandas and eagles go into my bank stash but I was considering flipping the Degussa on the bay if it could add up to more metal. My guy also had a pile of 2.5 and 5 pesos for the same price which in hindsight I am kicking myself for. I did not have anymore cash for them but could of sold silver at 40 to buy gold at 1600

Back when gold was around $500 I used to be able to get a premium for those Degussa "kit-kat" bars, but I doubt if you can at $1600.

The 10 gram Degussa bar has a premium over melt depending on the condition.

This one recently sold for $637 on eBay..

    10 gram Degussa

I think you did very well with your purchases.

I've seen the NTR bars sold by Tulving, they have about the lowest premiums for a .999 pure gold item.

The Degussa bar always carry a premium.
Though, as the Capt said, now it is a little smaller than it was a while ago.
I bought a sealed 10g for $530 on eBay when gold was in the $1550 range, 2 months ago.
My bid was higher than that.

You did good with all that gold! image

The NTR gold is neat because of the shape but needs like a picture or something to make it more interesting! Great stash diversity!

What's the weight on that NTR? Neat hunk for sure.

Here is the reverse of the NTR piece. I bought it because I never saw one before. Thanks for the replies on the Degussa piece - also the first time I have seen this type of bar out there.
