It's funny what gets each of us excited about in this hobby of ours. I've had the 1980 Soo Greyhounds police set and singles from it as a saved ebay search for 15-20 years now. I've never seen the whole set listed on ebay, I actually found and bought my full set on Amazon a decade or so ago. I have seen Ron Francis's first card which is also out of this set as a single listed about 3 times over that timespan on ebay and now this is the first time I've ever seen the Beezer first card out of that set listed on ebay, Just really rare stuff that only a few of us see the value in. I don't even care that is has writing in pen on the back of it. Guessing there can't be more than 25 of these left globally.

The writing on the back of that one looks familiar to me. Either that was one I used to have many years ago, or the same collector at some point had more than one and wrote on the backs of all of them. I sold mine when I found a better copy to replace it, but it was probably closer to 20 than 15 years ago. Glad you found one!
Got this one heading back from SGC as we speak. The only graded example extant:
"My father would womanize, he would drink. He would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark. Sometimes he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy. The sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament. Our childhood was typical. Summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring we'd make meat helmets. When we were insolent we were placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds - pretty standard really."

That's an awesome pick up!! They must have done these in different years or was it every year? I had to check my Gretzky but it does have the year on the back..

Certain junior league teams during the 80's put out local, "Police Law And Youth" (P.L.A.Y.) sets and the local police gave them out to kids. Note as i post these, many of these players had cards in multiple years with the team, but im just mentioning their first card year. Sault Ste. Marie had an annual Police set just about every year during the 80s and hold the first cards of Ron Francis (1980) , Beezer (1980), Rick Tocchet (1981). Oshawa Generals had them most years of the 80's as well and have the first cards of Dave Andreychuk (1980), John MacLean (1981) and a very reprinted (ahem forged) Lindros in 1988. Kitchener Rangers has Al (Allan) MacInnis (1982), London Knights has Brendan Shanahan (1985), Brantford Alexanders has Bob Probert (1983) , Saskatoon Blades has Wendel Clark and Joey Kocur (both 1982). Ottawa 67's has Darren Pang and Gary Roberts (both 1982), Brandon Wheat Kings has Ron Hextall (1982) and Ray Ferraro (1983). 1988 Niagara Falls Thunder has Keith Primeau. I'm sure there are some more i forgot. Beckett search is your friend to find these by player name. Also, many junior league teams had annual team sets as well that just were not police sets with some big names too, A lot of this stuff has dried up, and not a lot of graded cards of these either. In addition to the post above, I have some of these cards i mentioned in my [showcase](https://www.psacard.com/psasetregistry/showcase/2022-my-top-10-hockey-cards/hockey-first-cards-non-topps-opc-rcs/imagegallery/20511. Feel free to IM me if you have any questions about junior league cards from the 80s.

Sabres were supposedly in the mix for him too. Congrats. I think in a few years it’s going to look like a very good deal.
Thanks.
You just never know. The Wild have been pretty small with some of their best players (Spurgeon, Kaprizov, Rossi), it becomes obvious in the playoffs they have been pushed around, especially in front of their net.
We have Middleton who is OK and Begosian, who isn't a great defender for bigger D men. Our best two are Faber and Brodin, neither are real physical.
Where the Wild usually end up drafting, they usually have to pick a small to averaged size player to get someone good enough to make their team.
Jiricek may never be a top line defender, but we need to get bigger and hopefully he has enough talent to play defense competently and add the size everyone wants.

I really love the trio of Stanley Cups. If not too much trouble, how many color variations are there and are some printed in less #s than others? Pretty cool collectible!
Looks like PSA has graded 6 different variants to date. I do not know if there are more, Bill certainly would. Also Bill just a heads up, but if you blur out only the cert number the barcodes still scan.
