Not exactly a recent pickup as I've had this for a few years, but I just got it graded. I tried PSA first, but they declined. Most collectors view Stastny's '79 Panini sticker issue as his true rookie, but to the best of my knowledge, this is his first card/postcard. I've only seen one other over the years. Interestingly enough, the image for this postcard was used for his '79 Panini sticker.
"My father would womanize, he would drink. He would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark. Sometimes he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy. The sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament. Our childhood was typical. Summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring we'd make meat helmets. When we were insolent we were placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds - pretty standard really."
Same boat as the Stastny I posted earlier. Had it for a while, but just got it graded:

Stastny is included on multiple versions of different nations' Sportscaster cards that were printed in 1976-1977 but those are team cards. I definitely prefer this one of him by himself.

Ditto. I'm not big on team issues.

The kid has been bringing it.
The difference between playing healthy and playing hurt.
He's playing as good as anyone not named MacKinnon.
Without him Minnesota might be the worst team in the league.
Thankfully we have Faber and Rossi as two of the better rookies, Wallstedt got his first win and shutout yesterday in the net.

Even the Penguins were horrible 85-87 until Mario got reinforcements and Jágr in 89-90. The Wild goaltending is well below average. Edmonton too.
Nice card. Letang will be close, fantastic player but definitely on the bubble, not sure being 5th or 6th best of his generation of dmen will be enough but who knows, HHOF has let some real sliders in, players lesser then Letang.

I was hoping to join the elusive PSA 8 1989 Semic Hasek owners club, but ended up only popping a 7. The search continues!
That Hasek is a beauty! Incredible centering!

Alfie is one of the classiest guys to ever play. Glad to have found this one.
ON ITS WAY TO NEWPORT BEACH, CA 92658
Just bought this one. I can't find a Kaprizov set in the registry, and they're not accepting new requests?
Love those box bottoms, especially the Bourque!

My Easter pick up. Found it hiding behind the couch.
Finally picked a nice Turgeon up. Tough to find in a 10 and very underrated player.
Nice Pickup @Frozencaribou! Not many 10s floating around.
On its way to Newport Beach.
Currently Pop 4 with the highest being a PSA 1.5

This kid on the right was a gem.
Speaking of the kid on the right...
Hope that Letang finds his way to the hall of fame one day. Fun player to watch and dynamic at his best.

Bought this on EBay. I'm a big Neely fan and wanted a rookie with an early signature. Next up is finding a Bourque rookie with an early signature.
So happy to see Datsyuk in the HHOF on his first year of eligibility.
Not knocking Roenick, but I never thought he'd be in before Mogilny.
Another one for the collection
My most recent Modano pick up.
My most recent addition. Finally found one after a 20+ year search. I have only seen 3 signed copies. This completes my signed set.
Couple more Modanos.
I've been grading my 1996 UD Black Diamond gold triples in the last six months or so. Love this Gretzky. Stated print run of 50.
Bure is pop 1. Classy 90's all-star uniform to boot.
Awesome cards! The Triple Golds are tough to acquire and grade, I own the Joe Thornton triple gold SGC 9 I believe might be highest in the grade
Not enough love being shown for this very, very difficult autograph. If you're a Bruins fan, it's a key card from a great set.
.
Pop 6.
Haven’t been buying much lately but thought this copy looked nice!
Great looking card, looks better than a 5
Thx, I think T/B off centre on older OPC works nicely. There are 8s that have a pubic hair more room at the bottom.
Back does have a touch on the blue so grade is fair IMO
Another Modano;
I just ripped a 90 tiffany set, great card
1989 Topps Cunneyworth Pittsburgh error. Took me 10 years to find one! Too bad it’s far from mint.
Not going to lie, it took me a minute to find the error!
On the way back from a recent sub:
My cards on COMC
Woah.. That's the first time I've ever seen that card. Congrats on picking up such a rare error card. I didn't think it existed.

This one was hard to find;

Current NHL points leader!
Any collectors of 1976 Topps PSA graded hockey set? If so, please pm me.
Late 60's and early to mid 70's non-sports
He's on FIRE!
Error card. Look at power play goals scored 2019-20.
60 would be pretty impressive!
Not too many of these around. Total PSA pop is 25 and PSA/DNA is 2. And won’t be growing unless he changes his stance on signing.
Related, hate that JSA would sticker this issue. I get it on an 8x10 but silly to add a sticker to a postcard. Will be removing it.
