In 2017, Ken Potter commissioned the Royal Oak Mint to strike 200 of Frank Gasparro's design for a 40th anniversary. The original issue price was $65. Of note, Jared Grove's issue was also done in 2017 for the 40th anniversary.

Here's a scan of some of the photos from the 10/1976 Coinage article showing that different reverse being modeled and some pics of the obverse too... like I said if anyone wants a pdf copy of the article, PM me your email address.

The same issue also has a short article about the proposed 10-sided Ike to be issued for collectors only... I have a pdf copy of that article too
I remember this. I was 17 at the time & its a good memory, fwiw
Thanks for all your research on this subject. I agree this would be a great project to replicate again.

Think that smaller, eleven-sided Ike might have worked?

I just noticed that the great photos you uploaded before are now watermarked and some blurred by PhotoBucket.
Any way you two can upload them directly to CU forums to avoid that?
Wasn't that Liberty Head design first used on the 1969 ANA convention medal? Who currently holds the rights to the design?
You’re right, but that was also done by Frank Gasparro!
If that is the case doesn't the Gasparro estate hold the copyright on the design?
Very interesting thread!
Here's a group of Ken Potter's work:
