The pension thread is giving me a headache, figured we could bump the porn up early this week to lighten things up.
Lousy pics, but this showed up yesterday.
And after 7 months of it not running and me throwing parts on it, I'll be picking my baby up from the dealer today and taking a much needed ride with the doors off.
That's how I rolled the home depot runs before I got my truck a couple years ago. Had this jeep 10 years+ now.

Wow, me too! Well, actually it was Friday that I bought my new 1995 Grand Cherokee Limited for 2 kilos of silver. It's got 130,000 babied miles (looks like it's never been offroad) so I'm pretty psyched! My first 4x4...anyone know of some good forums?

Ahh, nice, congrats on the new GC! jeepforum.com, register, I'm on there for the past few years, lots of knowledge and jeepers there.
Unfortunately my trip to the dealer to pick mine up resulted in me driving it 30ft @ $18/ft after paying and having it crap out with the same symptons. We'll see what they come back with before I start the bad PR with my free time....and I have lots of time.

<< <i>i think i like these way way better than the atb's

Better design, but worth only slightly above bullion ... both are 5 oz silver rounds, but the ATB will fetch you a better price when it's time to sell. Money talks...etc, unless you're a collector.

No doubt the ATB's will retain some of their premium when it comes time to sell. But my gut says it will pale in comparison to the premium paid for it initially. As strictly a bullion/money play, I'll take a generic round over the high premium rounds any day. When the melt value goes up, premium evaporate quite quickly. Just look at common date pre-1933 USA gold coins.

Good job and Congrats Halfhunter Coca-Cola silver art bars are good to collect. You are correct that they are all commons with high mintage numbers. According to Thmoas Mock's guidebook titled "Coca-Cola Bottler's 75th Anniversary Ingot and Round Guide Book 1975 to 1988", The Coca-Cola art bars in the picture have the following mintages:
Coca-Cola-Chattanooga bar = reported mintage of 10,000 bars (although I have seen higher serial #'s than 10,000 on some of them).
Coca-Cola Atlanta bar = mintage of 50,000.
Coca-Cola-Nashville art bar = mintage of 21,500.
Coca-Cola-Louisville bar = mintage of 20,000.
Columbus Coca-Cola bar (type I) = mintage of 7,000.
Coca-Cola-Cincinnati = 6,000 mintage,
Coca-Cola - Chicago = 3,000 mintage
Overall, those are good finds IMO. Coca-Cola silver art bars have done well on ebay with those in your picture fetching winning bids of $10-$15 over spot (or more) on ebay. Some of the lower mintages will fetch winning bids of more than that based on what I have seen on ebay. I am also trying to complete a Coca-Cola silver art bar set and but that will be almost impossible for me because some of them are so rare, that I do not see them on ebay very often because of the low mintages and when I do, I cannot afford them because they go for $500 (and much more) on ebay. Coca-Cola silver art bars are one of my favorite types of silver art bars that I love to collect. The rarest Coca-Cola art bars are Amarillo, Texas (mintage = 155), and Clarksville, TN (mintage = 100).

Been searching everywhere on the web for that book, impossible to find so far. . . Been Googleing, trying to gather all the information I can find on these bars. Even found some of your PORN in some other forums ! ! !
Thanks for the info & if anyone happens to run into that book . . .
Edited to add: BTW Silver Art would you happen to have the mintage of the Norfolk bar?

Halfhunter,
Sometimes, A Thomas Mock Coca-Cola guidebook will be on up for aucton on ebay. Sometimes it will appear as a regular auction to bid on. Sometimes it will be a BIN auction. Eventually , one will show up on ebay but you will have to be patient. What you can do is to do the following:
Type in the following in the ebay search function and save the following search:
"Coca Cola silver bars"
When you type this in the ebay search functon, you will find most of the Coca-Cola bars up for auction but more importantly, you will also eventually find a Thomas Mock Coca-Cola silver art bar guidebook up for auction. That was how I found my Coca-Cola silver art bar price guide on ebay and ebay is where I bought my Coca-Cola guide book from.
I forgot to answer your other question of "If you did ok at $40". My answer is a HUGE yes. You did very well at getting them for $40 each because they are selling for a much higher price on ebay. Anytime that you are able to buy some Coca-Cola silver art bars locally or from other sources outside of ebay and pay only .999 generic silver premium for them, then that is what I consider a homerun IMO. With the current spot silver price trading between $36 to $38, The $40 price that you paid for each of them is an awesome price that you paid. It cannot get any better than that IMO.
Even though those Coca-Cola art bars in the picture are the common-minted ones, they are still not easy to find but they will always fetch a large premium over spot on ebay because there is and will always be a demand for them from not only silver art bar collectors but also from collectors that collect anything that is Coca-Cola related such as, for example, vintage Coca-Cola toys and certan Coca-Cola bottles.
Congrats again on your Coca-Cola silver art bar purchases.
