Home Precious Metals

So, what did 300oz of silver and 6oz of gold buy us? A Pictorial of our 1st stay!

Many of you were aware that I recently decided to sell off 30% of my metals holdings in favor of both taking down some profit, as well as aquiring a summer cottage. We closed the deal on Sunday afternoon, and stayed till Tuesday just to get acquainted with our new place as well as stock it with the basic items. Although it was a slightly chilly 60 degrees, we had some fun. I can only imagine how much more fun it will be in the middle of summer with the beach and paddleboats and hiking we will be doing!

So this is what I turned a small pile of metals into, I can already tell you its looking like one of the best decisions I have ever made!!!

Gecko, there's just one thing that troubles me as a Chicagoan - you let your boy wear a Yankees shirt! I've got two boys of my own and I'd make sure to at least turn that thing inside out. image

It was a gift from my SIL (his aunt). When he brought it home the 1st time, I had plans to use it as an oil dipstick rag......but the wife would have none of it. Some things just cant be won...this is one of those things.

Really nice place and great times to come. Enjoy them while you can.

So have you figured up how much it REALLY cost you being your DCA was lower than what you sold for?

  • cool place Gecko. We have a farm pond and used to have a paddle boat.....they are fun, but make fishing hard because they scare the fish.

My wife was the one snapping all the pics. The girl in the purple top is a family friend who had nothing to do, so we took her along with us to keep Alex company. Below is a photo of my "little lady". She is the one on the bottom left.....the other 2 are her sisters. Im a very lucky man!
