I just visited the local B&M, all .999 rounds and bars are selling for $50 oz and 90% is selling for 30x face.

I walked out with nothing image

When I bought that roll of nicer walkers I got with my Midwest Refineries money:

My dealer also had two 1-gram bars. I told him I'd take them both, but then another customer begged me to let him have the other. His was a 1-gram Pamp, oval, with a dove? or some other bird. Said he was going to give it to his wife for mothers day. I didn't need it or really even want it that bad, so I let him have it.

Here's the one I did buy. At melt, out the door:

Picked up a couple gold items this week.....A 2-Oz Engelhard gold bar and a 1977 1-Oz gold prospector. The prospector is proof-like, but it does display a minor blemish in the upper-left obverse field. I just today purchased a duplicate to the 2-Oz bar that should arrive next week. Very nice little bars!

Any have full pubic hair? Quite rare on that one, only 165 minted before they polished the dies to remove the hair. I have two of that variety.

All of mine are without hair. Did I just say that?
To wierd. Was it offensive to show the hair on the coin?

From what I understand , yes. I got my first one back in 86, took me 20 more years to find another. As you can see the detail in the upper legs were lost in the polishing also. One of mine is now NGC Pr69 Ultracam. I do believe the only ones you will find in UC are the Full hair version.

Forgot I took a shot of this while I was at the vault the other day shooting the bar. For those who did not see the 1850/1950 thread, the Seated Liberty pocket piece included for scale is a dollar.

I love that 2 oz gold bar above. That goes on my want list. What's the premium on that?

Capt WTF! At first i thought that was some coaster you lifted from the tiki bar at the Holiday inn, Paradise Island. Then I realized what it was. Twelve ounces right? I've never seen one in hand. Quite scarce right? Tell us the backstory! Smoehow I can hear KC and the Sunshine Band in the background. MJ
