I built a billiard room for snooker/pool/poker etc. The 40 lights in that room all draw LESS current than an IPAD charger. way way way cheap to go LED and they'll last many years.

They came in 12 brown boxes of 12 4-packs and they were clearing them out at Lowes at $1.44 each. I keep thinking that they meant to sell them at the 4 pack price of $1.44 but no they were $1.44 for each big box!!
Someday, these will be MORE VALUABLE than my coins!!!

Oh stop! I use my one incandescent bulb possibly two hours a week for coin viewing! That hardly affects my electric bill. Besides, I will someday be remembered more for having a hoard of these light bulbs than any of my coins?????

I don't know about the rest of you but I miss hitting the light switch and actually having light instead of waiting 10 minutes for the bulbs to warm up which tells me there's a bit of heat loss in these new bulbs as well. Once they're warm, it's instant on but cold, you just gotta wait.
Hey, maybe Congress will use the forcing of the elimination of incandescent's as a model for getting rid of the Cent and dollar bill such as "Let em whine, this will save money!"
I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

BTW- AC's no longer have freon and the SEER ratings are sky high. New ones are super efficient
