Toe the line? or AN EXAMPLE OF HOW TO GET BANNED IMMEDIATELY!

Censorship.

I know its a 'FREE' site, but its not FREE. Every time we buy a coin, or sell a coin housed in plastic, we fund sites like this.

A zero tolerance policy is ridiculous and childish. Not too mention patently UNAMERICAN

Just another reason I buy UNSLABBED PM'S and not coins in plastic.

And thank you for the soon to be bamming Im sure for not bowing to the almighty PCGS.

    I'm in the military... we have zero tolerance policies for most everything. I'd like to think as a member of the military, that I'm the consummate American. image

    You are more than an American in my view, but the fact that you serve does not mean I think you should have less rights.

    Zero Tolerance policies are ALWAYS abused.

    No editing needed.

    I speak my mind under the rights given to me under the first amendment.

    Even if that means a deletion of my forum membership.

    It always amazes me when people believe that the constitution somehow applies to a private chatboard. The first amendment was to protect citizens from government. You have the right to say what ever you well please on these boards, and PCGS has the right to ban you. No one is stopping your from saying anything, but sometimes those words have consequences. Try pitching your first amendment argument in a Las Vegas Casino sometime. You will quickly be escorted to the door and never let back in and probably banned from every other casino in Vegas.

    We all have limited rights... there's a speed limit, a legal drinking age, we vote for our politicians (not the one we vote for always wins), etc.

    I do speak up... if I (or you) are bammed, then we'll have no voice... is this the topic you wish to lose your voice?

    I think you may be interpreting your first amendment rights too broadly.

    By your logic, I should be able to come into your house and write on your walls, and be able to write whatever I wanted to, even if it offended you. If you threw me out for doing that, you would be censoring me.

    I am a strong believer in the first amendment, but I don't believe it applies to private property, which is what these boards are. Its PCGS' house, and we obey their rules when we're in it.

    It's toe the line... a reference to sailors placing their toes on the lines of the planks. It simply means to follow a standard.

    The only people funding this site and paying PCGS employees are the ones paying memberships and paying for grading services. PCGS gets no royalties from purchases of PCGS graded items.

    Old saying in the newspaper business: "Freedom of the press belongs to those that own one." Collectors Universe owns this one and I am thankful to them for the privilege to participate on it. Abuse of that privilege has its costs. Not even the internet is free; you gotta pay a provider to access it.

    Being one of the ones that pays membership and grading fee it is my opinion you’re out of line.
    Like I have said before the host of the party has the right to kick you out for not bothering to clean your shoes before coming to the party.

    Sad that such a performance must be wasted here when there are so many more outlets for creativity available, say one's local theater group, or just a local community organizer to represent the downtrodden and oppressed. Attica! Attica! Cry it from the rooftops! However, I would suggest that prior to embarking on this new and exciting path, a crash course in Civics 101 as to what the First Amendment actually constitutes might serve you well, though we do approve of you yelling "ALL HAIL PCGS" from said rooftop.
