I thought one time I read somewhere that the 1925 Gold Peace was from the Redfield Hoard but I can find anything about it. Any body know what might have turned this one gold??
No, it is not a popular VAM and the toning does not look to be stellar. I also doubt it would make 65 with the muted luster I bet it has with that thick skin.

Not that unusually toned since it has autumn mottled colors. With the nice high prices that MS65 Peace dollars are now fetching, I'd be tempted to let it go. People are much less fussy in a mania than when things are slack. But if you like it, then that's all that matters.
I think that it is an attractive coin, but I'm in the minority when comes to toning and Peace dollars. I once had a 1921 Peace dollar with original toning, and it took me forever to sell it when I was a dealer.
