i have a question on these silver rounds.

are these easily recognized? i got them on ebay about 8 or 10 months ago. when i search ebay for silver rounds i don`t see many of these. they are proof cameos and have toned. anybody know anything about these?

    Yes... Common Silver Trade Units...on eBay they sell slightly above melt, but you need to " give them a bath" first. B&M might give you melt or 5% below melt as is.

    It has no effect whatsoever to large dealers. Toned or untoned is all the same. The new owner can simply dip them if they choose to. No added premium for toning, no discount for toning.

    You're absolutely correct..bullion dealers don't give a hoot...most of the common stuff is going to be melted anyway. Ebay it's a different story...a majority of buyers prefer untarnished bars.

  • What OPA and others have said. This common-minted silver rounds. I think that these were minted in the '70's and early '80's.
    DISCLAIMER: I am NOT a '70's silver art bar expert but I try my best to play one on the Internet.
