I had to put it down ...

Even at these crazy silver prices, I am still looking for early rolls of dimes and quarters.
Actually, the greater prices seem to help bring them out, although the craziness of the silver market makes them hard to obtain sometimes. Anyway, I'm looking, trying to find better date rolls at a not too crazy premium to what seems like an awfully heady spot price.
So last weekend I bought a roll on eBay. Yeah, I know.
He had two, both better dates, one significantly better. Advertised both as original. Yeah, I know.
I caught the lesser of the dates. I wonder now if the other one was similar.
It arrived today, and of course, since it was in a tube, I had to look.
I set them out in a few stacks so I didn't have to move them much and they wouldn't cascade over. You never know if there is something special ... right?
Right??
I had to put them back in the tube.
I felt immediately like I was intruding.
I didn't have my gloves ... I didn't have time to really look at all of them, because I had a dinner date with my daughter.
These weren't the 62/3/4 coins of a put-together roll, or one that has been handled so many times.
They weren't coins from an average roll from the seven or so coins I took a look at ... I caught my breath, and as I got them back in that old plastic tube (carefully!) ... an old tube with someone's 40 year old writing on it ... the word "virgin" slipped through my mind.
I'll keep you updated later ... but for now, I think I'll just let them sit in that tube another day.
Nicest quality roll I've ever owned, of that I am almost certain.

I think that you should be a choreographer for a burlesque show.
I think that I will have to start trolling ebay for BU rolls of silver again.
I knew it would happen.
