So whos buying?

akuracy503akuracy503 Posts: 1,923 ✭✭✭
I noticed the BST thread has been a bit quiet, is anyone thinking about stacking?
My local B&M said for every seller there are 2 buyers in line.

Just bought my first AGE today. With this purchase, I doubled my gold holdings, so I am definitely buying.

I've bought gold and silver stocks. IAU and SIL. Cheap transactions, no S&H. Gone in seconds once I decide to sell.
  • Soon I will be selling some of my gold I have 2 extra rolls of 1/10 ounce coin and some 20 gram name brand gold bars. When the time is right that is! I figure these small coins will sell easier with the high gold prices. Not everyone can afford to load up with 1oz gold coins at these prices.

I still have a set of raw Franklins to sell that belong to my brother (meltdown, you likely remember his eclectic collection from some of the OFR BST offerings). The coins are 63-64, some FBLs. Anyway, he paid seven hundred for it. Told him that nobody wants to buy it...I have tried! I guess someday if silver continues its rocket ride, someone might want the collection for melt!

Folks who have none should prolly buy some.

Folks who have LOTS should prolly sell some.

In 1980, "success" was largely measured by how many "free"
houses folks ended up with by being lucky/smart/perfect timers.

This time, "success" could be measured by how many "free"
strip-malls folks end up with by buying/selling/trading in lucky
    fashion.

    ........

If it becomes obvious that "things" will change by 2013, there will
be harsh corrections from the yet to be established new highs.

NO hoarder makes a profit until he sells. "Paper profits" are sure
academically interesting, but collecting those profits in the currency
of the realm and other historic value storehouses is really how the
score is kept in this game.

I sold some burnished AGEs at a good price and I'm sitting on the proceeds in order to parlay my winnings into 2011 Proof Plats. And I'm watching as the price of platinum continues to trend higher...

In the meantime, I'm buying Pucks whenever an opportunity to buy them near melt pops up.

Im not where I want to be with silver, so Im still buying. As a matter of fact...Im gonna buy some tomorrow.

  • << <i>....................... And I'm watching as the price of platinum continues to trend higher...... >>

Well I'm metaphorically standing in line outside the men's room, shifting my weight from one foot to the other, and praying for that. Actually I'm praying for 'skyrocket higher' but at this point I'd settle for 'trend'.
    And uh God?, please SOON!
    ------

All the real action seems to be in silver and gold. Maybe we'll have some Pt fun yet or maybe it's a harbinger of:
    1.
    2.
    3.
    and/or
    4.

One may fill in the above numbers by consulting other threads of one's own choosing but it is obligatory that each be even more dire than the others as well as more certain to occur.
    ----
Meanwhile I have to return to line. Maybe I can buy some 90% from the guy in front of me and sell to the guy behind! Might as well pass the time profitably I guess.

Many, many perfect transactions with other members. Ask please.

Always buying and selling... I am regretting buying 80 fv in WLH's over the weekend though... dang...

  • << <i>What's your new price target for buying? >>

    Here is my plan:

I am planning for three purchases for long term holding, possibly starting in June.

I don't have a specific price target. It all depends on the market.

I will definitely not try to catch the falling knife by trying to time the bottom. I will rather make the 1st purchase when I see a "bottom" being tested twice.

If it continues to go up, I will place the 2nd and 3rd purchase within 3 months.

If it continues to go down, I will wait for a new "bottom" to form and being tested twice again and I will place my 2nd purchase , and so on.
