You are a salesman's best friend

I AM a salesman - a pretty good one, and there's a reason my customers trust me.

Take advantage of them. Education is a willfull endeavor and cannot be forced.

I don't think that you would make it in my business, not as a salesman anyway.

Happy to do it. If anyone you know had lymphoma, leukemia, breast, colon, gastric, or pancreatic cancer, or rheumatoid arthritis.. you're welcome.

Unless you provided a cure, all it's ever been about is to provide a revenue stream. Immunosuppressive drugs killed my sweetie, no equivocating about it. Toxic chemicals and insurance payouts. Not welcome.

King Dollar keeps going strong because the rest of the World is in a global slowdown. Trump corporate tax cuts and repatriation of Billions stranded off shore is also keeping Equities strong. Talking heads are now saying DOW 36,000. Money managers pumping it up. Hey, It's not their money.

If you dont need to sell, then your customers need to buy.

Every company that produces or provides something NEEDS to sell it. Otherwise they dont have a business. Producing something and not selling it is indeed dumb.

In San Diego, the schools are closed indefinitely, all the restaurants and bars are closed, the markets are continuing sold out of canned soup and TP and most who can are "working from home".

But the flight to the almighty US Dollar is amazing to behold, isn't it? We'll come out of this stronger and more adaptable, but it's gonna hurt. Best wishes to all, hang in there and let us know how it's going in your area..

Same here in CT, all schools public and private closed, all restaurants, bars and salons closed, both Tribal casinos closed and all businesses must shut down by 8pm. The Walmart in town out of eggs, bread, milk, oj, alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, bleach, tp, etc. I did find eggs and milk at Stop n Shop though. Grateful to still be employed, actually working about 10 hours of OT per week. Gasoline has come down significantly, with my discount home heating fuel is $1.25 a gallon, almost tempted to fill 55 gallon drums for next winter. This sorta offsets my 401k down 26%, looking to buy individual quality stocks when it hits bottom but when is bottom?? Certainly not at this moment, God bless us all.

Appears none of today's financial "leaders" remember that the catalyst for the last crisis was low-interest rates and too much cheap money. Once again the biggest human failure is not learning from failure. Will we learn this time? Most likely not.

none of today's financial "leaders" remember that the catalyst for the last crisis was low-interest rates and too much cheap money

Oh, they remember very well. I don't think it can be blamed on stupidity either. Rates are even lower than the last crisis and now there is basically infinite cheap money for social engineering & population control via govmint handouts to people who don't even have $500 in savings, particularly those who are younger and/or unemployed. All of this is ripe for what's been going on in Portland and many other cities.

The dollar is the world's reserve currency, and (almost) every central bank on the planet is now doing the same exact thing. Dollar creation is just a debt mechanism. The virus is an excuse to shut down world economies to accelerate the transition being made to a control society with more and more "mandatory " crap being dictated by people who have a totalitarian mentality. If you don't agree, they will ruin you.

I agree with Greg Mannarino - that the goal of central banks has always been to own it all, including the owning of every single government - to become the lenders of last resort, and we the people to be "borrowers in perpetuity". How many people are actually debt-free in this world? Think about it. Perpetually-indebted serfs who are dependent on gov.com are an easily-manipulated political base created with malevolent intent to control.

What kind of perverse system is such that one special group of people are allowed to create "money" (out of nothing) so that that special group and their well-connected buddies can turn around and buy whole industries? These people are not trying to help anyone but themselves.

Private industry everywhere has been destroyed as the whole planet is being conditioned to let the governments and central banks hand out free "money" in return for people becoming 100% dependent on the govt. The social engineering is obvious. About 9% of covid relief goes toward covid-related remedies. The fraud is obvious too. 90% of the handouts are going to support their insider games and to their puppets on the dole.

    If this isn't a wake-up call, I don't know what would be.

Have a skill or better yet, more than one. Don't interface with the banking system any more than is required. Get to know your like-minded neighbors. This crap has only begun and it's not pretty.

As far as Oregon goes...reminds me of Tijuana in the 1980's. Tarps and tents, garbage all over the Portland. Why would any business set up shop here-I'll never know.

Especially when the cops are told to stand down while the place gets trashed. Who votes for these people? Oh, that's right - "it doesn't matter who votes, it only matters who counts the votes"......Joseph Stalin.

Our latest grocery run: Bagels weren't cooked all the way. Out of onions. Potatoes going bad fast. Canned meat and canned fruit selection low. If you like fruit and wanna keep eating it I recommend getting some now.

We had a life event living in the midwest and needed food support. So we volunteered at the local church's food shelf to get buckets of potatoes and old gas station sandwiches. There were lots of wheat breads nobody liked and stale bagels. But at least they were cooked all the way and still kinda fresh.

Grocery shopping at some of the "high end" places is arguably about the same quality food as what we got back then. We got a few boxes of food here one rough month about six years ago. That food was so much better than what you get in stores now. Fruit and veggies were markedly better back then.

CCI, Speer, Remington and Federal (all $VSTO companies) raised all of their prices April 1st.

    Hope everyone's ready to party.

It's so much worse than it sounds, too. I just don't wanna sound like I'm embellishing or something for internet points. We heard gunshots again the last few days. It's getting warmer so it's only gonna get worse.

Stores are busy again up here in Mass. Seems like life is returning to normal. There’s a new Starbucks opening in town that is almost complete. My wife and I went to our favorite Italian restaurant last night. We had to wait 45 minutes for a table. Haven’t had to do that for a year, but we were happy to see business thriving again.

Same in the Pacific Northwest and all over the country, based on first hand reports I’ve been receiving. Not sure where these pockets of gloom and doom are.

(As others have pointed out, Portland may still be a bit of a dump, but surrounding areas - Beaverton, Hillsboro, Tualatin, etc look fine)

Reality is that parts of the country are more open than others. Many people saved lots of money during Covid since they had no income loss, but didn't travel or partake in leisure activities as frequently. So there is some pent up demand. But their are literally tens of millions of people spending their stimulus on all kinds of stuff while continuing to enjoy deferral of rent/mortgage, student loan, and in some cases even auto and credit card obligations. The various Covid bills replaced multiples of the actual income that was lost. How that all gets swept under the carpet remains to be seen.

Stay out of debt. ALWAYS be prepared for the worst, and hope for the best. It’s better to have it and not need it. Than need it and not have it. Nobody knows what will happen next. Don’t wait for the tough times to get ready, that will be too late. Get everything you will need, while you still can.

Now Slayer isnt a Christian band although the lead singer is Catholic. But again they are a very apropos band in a SHTF thread. ;) And they are victims of "cancel culture" from decades ago.
