PSA deemed under the "Grade Guarantee" policy, that the '8' was INDEED the correct grade for this particular card. They said the back, WAS NOT paper loss, but was rather a 'print defect' that is acceptable for this particular issue in this particular grade. Which suits me fine, because I sold it for $75 more than I sold it for on the BST board, and the buyer LOVED the card!.....

That card looks fine to me for a PSA 8. When I read the original thread I thought the back must have been awful.

Glad things worked out for you and those on this board that talked a ton of smack need to eat their words.

What exactly is shady about what he did with the Jordan card? You can't say he tried to pass on a bad card because PSA has told us it was properly graded. All that crap about him trying to pass the buck instead of taking responsibility is hooey. The card is an 8, period. He sold it as an 8 on the B/S/T board and the buyer wasn't happy, so he asked for advice on whether to accept a return. Most people told him he should take the card back and issue a full refund, and he did. So again I ask, what exactly is the problem here? That he was initially reluctant to issue a refund on a properly graded card? Or that you just don't like him?

I have come to Bobby's defense. I think in this case he really did nothing wrong.

The tough part is he has a checkered past with cards and have broken some Golden Rules.

I hope both sides learn from this.

Don't instantly assume guilt; and be honest and people will trust you.

No one is going to change their stance based on this thread so I say move on.

Yes Dpeck! Thou shall not break cards out that one company says is trimmed, and submit them to another grading company for an acutal numeric grade!

In all seriousness now, I'm happy PSA deemed the card was graded correctly.

The new buyer is happy. The old buyer is happy he got a refund. Bobby's happy he made more on it.

(he can eat lunch for a week)

My only question here is a simple one and is not to be taken in an adversarial manner.

The old buyer thought it was paper loss and IIRC you did too. You both had the card in hand.

Now we are told it is a simple lack of inking problem. What's the deal with that?

Just asking.
