If anyone is curious about the MICHAEL JORDAN rookie PSA 8 that was returned...

PSA deemed under the "Grade Guarantee" policy, that the '8' was INDEED the correct grade for this particular card. They said the back, WAS NOT paper loss, but was rather a 'print defect' that is acceptable for this particular issue in this particular grade. Which suits me fine, because I sold it for $75 more than I sold it for on the BST board, and the buyer LOVED the card!.....

I'll have to confer with my buddies Big Chief, Willie Mays, and Michael Jordan. As long as they give the OK, then I am sure everything will be ok.....

The tough part is he has a checkered past with cards and have broken some Golden Rules.
I hope both sides learn from this.
Don't instantly assume guilt; and be honest and people will trust you.
No one is going to change their stance based on this thread so I say move on.
<< <i>Why even rehash an episode you were roundly roasted over? You must be a masochist, LOL.. >>
Because I was roasted incorrectly. I was in the right, and the people that tried to roast were in the wrong.
<< <i>You are always in the right Bobby. >>
For the most part....yes.
<< <i>The tough part is he has a checkered past with cards and have broken some Golden Rules >>
Yes Dpeck! Thou shall not break cards out that one company says is trimmed, and submit them to another grading company for an acutal numeric grade!

Way to go Bobby!
I love it when I see the usual trolls have to eat their own words.
Bravo!
<< <i>The only reason you were given a hard time back then was because you didn't reveal the defect to the buyer who was a fellow board member and when he wanted to return the card because of such you gave him a hard time. >>
I never noticed the back.....I'm one of those that everyone loves to hate...I buy the flip, and not the card!
<< <i>Bobby does not look at the backs of cards. >>
USED to not look at back of cards....I am trying to get better at it.

We have a WINNER!!!!Bobby why do you make everything PERSONAL...or do you type with the same ignorance you make correct decisions?
And by the way you are RIGHT.
The new buyer is happy. The old buyer is happy he got a refund. Bobby's happy he made more on it.
(he can eat lunch for a week)
My only question here is a simple one and is not to be taken in an adversarial manner.
The old buyer thought it was paper loss and IIRC you did too. You both had the card in hand.
Now we are told it is a simple lack of inking problem. What's the deal with that?
Just asking.
I can feel it...
the "older" members might have a hard time with it though...
