a buck-thirty drop in a few minutes--during daylight hrs, too. What spooked this time? or was it them computer thangs again?
Do your best to avoid circular arguments, as it will help you reason better, because better reasoning is often a result of avoiding circular arguments.

The DOW also dropped over 200 points. Looks like a double slam. Get the flat money out of PM (though gold has been doing ok over the last month) and into stocks so they can slam you again. One way or the other, they will get your money if you have loose hands.

Hello $40. It's good to see you again. Are you sticking around this time you fickle beast? MJ
Walker Proof Digital Album Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......

I think I am in the same boat. I bought some physical this weekend and feel rather comfortable in my core position though I could use more gold. But, I think I will sit an watch for a while. The problem with waiting is if it goes down, you lose profits (get burned) and if it goes up, you kick yourself for not buying (get burned).
I need you get that light replaced in my Crystal Ball.
Since I have zero in the stock & bond markets, I can only imagine what most people feel now as they get further boxed-in by the government give-aways and free spending that only serves to degrade their remaining savings.
I imagine that the politicians will be feeling the fury in short order.
Q: Are You Printing Money? Bernanke: Not Literally
I wonder when my PM physical holding will meet or exceed my 401k value!
My PM were purchased with fun money. But, my 401k, even with the 50% employer match seems like it is a black hole!
Anyone remember Tooter the Turtle and Mr. Wizard?
When Tooter inevitably got into trouble, he would yell, "Help me, Mr. Wizard! I don't want to be anymore!" Whereupon the voice of Mr. Wizard would incant:
Drizzle, drazzle, dradle, drone Time for this one to come home
and spiral animation effects would pluck Tooter from his predicament.
Help Me Mr Wizard!! My 401k is being sucked dry!!!
Grrr, should have went ahead and bought the 3 10oz JM silver bars my shop had yesterday, told him I'd get 1 or 2 Friday if he's still got them. Or more 90% than I got.

Silver looks to be poised for a run up today!
<< <i>Silver has been on the ups. I keep hearing about some major correction that could happen to all PMs this month or the next. >>
Yea, everyone has an opinion but nobody really knows.
Opinions vary depending on which way the wind is blowing that day.
<< <i>I just sold most of mine! >>
Glad to hear that. It's guaranteed to go up now.

Thank you. I had a suspicion that it would rise after you did.
You've been 100% in your predictions to far.
Oh, and please DON'T BUY!!!
<< <i>It sure seems to have the steam to head that way. The 07 and 08W's seem to be holding value pretty well though on ebay. >>
So far your intuition was right on.
Do you feel it will close above $40 today?

Unlikely. It needs to move in small increments to sustain it's momentum for any extended period of time.
Hopefully, it won't get smashed tomorrow.
Is today going to be the day?
In God We Trust.... all others pay in Gold and Silver!
<< <i>Looks like $1600 gold before $40 silver. >>
Made it up to $1,599.80 on the first try......

I though everyone agreed that if a debt limit was increased the price of silver and gold would go down.

I didn't think so. The more flat money you print, the less it is worth. It sure is killing the stock market.
Dow closed down $266 today.
I imagine that the politicians will be feeling the fury in short order.
I knew it would happen.

Looks like the quest for $50 is not too far off.
