I keep moving my coins for sale up in price but these people just keep on buying. Time to make another change I guess!

A thing of beauty is a joy for ever
  • This scenario was very apparent this week when Goldman and other big name firms called for a sharp pullback. This caused both gold and silver to open the week in a slump, only to bounce back to new highs. We are now in a market where the demand for these precious metals investments has gotten so large that it is becoming harder and harder for the big name firms to mess with our markets. The investors are taking over. On Friday, Goldman said:

Smackdowns are short and sweet, the way I like them. I guess if we didn't buy before we are not going to buy now.

I really don't understand how paper works and can not afford to lose any money so I will just leave that up to the people that do understand it.

The S and P downgrade of the US, the dollar hitting record lows, the Japan quake, the Mideast crisis(s), supply/demand issues and on and on, seems like its the perfect storm for silver. No one is going to listen to Goldmans claimsimage------------BigE

I am trying to decide if I should bump my price on what I have on ebay in anticipation for the jump. They expire tomorrow and if they don't sell, I may just sit on them for a bit.

I jumped mine up to $74.95 on the 2008W ungraded silver eagles and just sold one, maybe I should have gone higher,

Seeing my eagles selling at $74.95 is a shock to my system. Are people stupid or do they see something that I don't see happening for a while.

Silver has to go retrace and fill that sharp opening gap last night. Too bad all the action occured overseas where J6P couldn't head to his B&M and take advantage of $49+.
That's ok. It will be back soon enough.

It started climbing last night and it looks like we will continue. With the margin panic over (for now) and the weak hands selling, it should start climbing right back up to where it was before last week. We will see.

That'd be pretty neat if it heads up to it's previous high so quickly.

It was very interesting to see the wild swings of opinon once silver started to fall last week. from "The sky is falling!" to "I dont care" to "It'll be another 10 years before we see $50" etc.
  • pitbosspitboss Posts: 8,643 ✭✭✭

At this point I don't have any idea where it is going but will flow in whatever direction it takes from just holding on to what I have or to buying more.
  • Well the trend is higher unless the trend breaks and crosses the XDMA in which case it may turn lower. If it drops past the support levels there it will fall more until it reaches a support level where it will rebound and lift higher. However, it may not move much until other figures released by this week show changes that bring about a mild fluctuation. Overall the trend is higher except that seasonal factors may bring it lower. Looking at the charts we find support levels at 33, 30, 27 and 25 on the downside and some resistance at 40, 43, 46, and 500. Unless of course, it rains in NY and all the traders stay home.

How about a fine bottle of MD20/20 in a brown paper bag?

The way it is going right now, we just might break $38 today
  • 38 and higher, I'll drink to that.

I was just looking at Kitco. Is it normal to have a 20 cent spread between bid and sell? Seems like a big gap.

Generally, that is what I usually see (except for at night looking at the Asia market). Strange!

I wonder who is going to give, the buyers or the sellers?

I do agree with this statement.

I see a lower PM price in the summer months and a possible US dollar rally anywhere from 75 to 79.

However, I do like Silver's chances of regaining its $50 price tag in 6 to 12 months time.
