<< <i>I pulled a Dave Parker, however it was not one of the more friendly cuts. I'll go find it and get a scan up soon. >>

PSA does not grade against those rough OPC cuts. I think that card will do pretty well if you decide to submit it. I actually really like the cut of that card. Nice pull!

  • It's a little oc'ed top to bottom which is why I prob. wouldn't submit it. I sent in about 10 for grading, they were the best of the lot. Based upon those grades I may send in more.
  • No Brett or Yount in my 20 packs,to cut to the chase. I can't post anything right now but pulled about 25 PSA 8-9ish commons. I did pull a regular Pete Rose but he has a couple edge dents. All the following are off center L-R, no more than 80-20.....Steve Carlton, Jim Hunter, Strikeout Leaders Ryan/Carlton x2 , and pulled Keith Hernandez and Gary Carter. Those two are at best 65-35 and both will go in for grading (likely 8's). The Carter RC has better eye appeal than the Jim Rice 8 on eBay. I'll see what I can do about scans this weekend.

Edited to add: Just combed eBay and the commons I have blow the PSA 8's that are posted out of the water.

Really? What are you trying to say here? Why don't you really tell us what is on your mind.

Fitzgerald, why even keep posting in this thread? It's obvious you have little if any knowledge about unopened product so what's your agenda? Are you seriously accusing Steve of dishonesty with these boxes? Surely even you can't be that outrageous. And for the record, I've examined these packs and they are 100% authentic. If anyone knows about OPC quality control, you know that the collation with these packs was very poor to start with.

Collecting 1970s Topps baseball wax, rack and cello packs, as well as PCGS graded Half Cents, Large Cents, Two Cent pieces and Three Cent Silver pieces.
  • More importantly, why is there a CBT person above named 'neilkneels' saying things like:

"Sorry to hear you got f$%ked in the a$$ on this one. We've all been there before!" Should that not have been deleted by a mod ? (along with my reply posting it again)

neil kneels.. uhhh.. hopefully he does not also know bob on cbt.

The 75's I got from this lot were not exquisite but very much centered and such. No issue and would do it again.

  • I examined the packs as I opened them, the seals looked legit to me. The collation just sucked. With only 8 cards per pack and a 660 card set.....the odds were against me from the start. Out of 160 cards, I pulled a Gary Carter and Keith Hernandez rookie card, a Pete Rose, a Steve Carlton and about 25 gradeable commons which IMO are PSA 8+.

I bought 10 packs.. 5 in the 1st 5 in the second.. while I didn't pull much star power.. I have no doubt they were legit
I feel I am a fairly good judge and I have been in several group rips and have opened my fair share of vintage wax

Again for the conspiracy cooks out there, why would Steve Hart do this and ruin his reputation? There has been many Jordan and Gretzky RCs pulled from his products and they are worth far more than any card from 1975 OPC? If doesn't search the easiest wax in the world to search (86 Fleer BKTB) then why do you assume he would with 75 OPC?

Also why would he leave a mint 75 Aaron in the packs? I mean if your going to risk you entire companies reputation on opening 75 OPC packs wouldn't he pull Ryans and Aarons too?

It is a really stupid thing to say on here especially since Steve has been really good to a lot of members here doing this rips.

I swear if someone did a group rip of 2 packs and didn't pull both Brett and Yount someone would chime in they were searched.

REMEMBER ALL.... I'm in the market for any/all of your '75 OPCs that are for sale as I'm attempting to put this set together! Please PM with what you've got!

Remember these two from rip #2?

My daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 2 (2003). My son was diagnosed with Type 1 when he was 17 on December 31, 2009. We were stunned that another child of ours had been diagnosed. Please, if you don't have a favorite charity, consider giving to the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation)

I'd say between $75-$100 depending on bidding action. Unfortunately, the OPCs just don't attract the same traffic as Topps, despite their relative scarcity.

Dale Murphy wasn't in the league in 1975 so if you find a Murphy card in one of these packs something would be fishy indeed, LOL..
