Whatcha think.....1970 Kennedy Proof and a 1953 Franklin proof

The 1970 was in the holder and I took it out. It is not haze around the perimeter, rather toning but I cannot capture it
The 1953 Franklin proof was in a red after market holder.....and it must have been in there for a very long time.
Check the toning out. The holder has metal screws not plastic. I will get an image of the holder soon.
btw.......do you think the Kennedy has a chance at PR DCAM69?
I have been looking at coin facts and mine looks every bit as good, but I'm usually wrong

The holder........how old do you think this one is?
When did they change from metal screws to plastic?

OK........New pictures

The more qualities observed in a coin, the more desirable that coin becomes!

<< <i>Is that heavy chatter around "I" on the obverse? >>
No, must be some artifact from the image. There are no hits anywhere and full frost on both sides and right below
The "I" is a toning spot.

Many members on this forum that now it cannot fit in my signature. Please ask for entire list.
The franklin proof is nice, too.
Don't you mean the other way around?
They can be purchased through Brooklyn Gallery. (is where I get them.) They will break the plastic if you're not careful or you can stick with the plastic screws which can strip out if you're not careful with those as well.

I don't think that proof set is a Capital Plastics holder but something else
the metal screws are still available from them - but your metal screws are different
that 70-S sure looks great - but pics are easily changed with light source it could be either PR, PR CAM or PR DCAM

Re. the Kennedy half, I've seen that sort of hazy-yet-attractive peripheral toning on Ike dollar proofs, mostly.
