    Thanks for posting the link.
It's kind of weird that they would ask how long it will continue.... the question should be how soon does the entire ecomony collapse? The buying of silver is merely a symptom of what's happening to this lousy economy of ours.

The economy reminds me of a huge tree that has just been cut at the base. It starts to fall gradually and slowly, picks up momentum and then crashes to the ground.

Once it is cut, nothing short of Divine intervention will stop it's fall. Just get as far away from it as possible.

How long ago did our "tree" get cut?

1971 when the gold standard was removed for the dollar.

I was under the impression that it was 1933 when the United States finally decided to abandon the gold standard.

Ooops didn't see FOR THE DOLLAR...

  • Sad from a numismatic perspective - too many nicer, collectable grade coins will be melted (especially the 1940-1965 year - especially "foreign"). Silver, with the wind behind it's back, is easily destined for $40-$60 this year (doubling of '10 close). If it then runs maniac-like, the surge into triple digits will be too swift to buy bullion into. All IMHO.
