I think the odds are in your favor. With all the upheaval in the middle east, you would have thought that the PM market in Gold & Silver would explode. So far, it has not done so, and unless serious unrest develops in Saudi Arabia, it won't.

There have been numerous take downs in silver during morning trading hours over the past few weeks....all in order to keep the rise orderly. Monday got a partial free ride as many of the JPM faithfull weren't around to apply the brakes. Even so, silver has been moving up in steady steps. As overbought as it seems, it doesn't appear to want to leave the party.

I would be surprised but not shocked if it hit $35 by Friday. What's working against it is that it already exploded over 7% just last week. Not sure how many new buyers are left here. $35 silver by Friday will need a spark and some mad short covering. Ballsy bet by Frankie------------I like his style. MJ

Silver at $35 by Friday appears to be now "wishful thinking"... but as the world turns and dramatic moves in PM's only seem to occur when they are least expected...

Everyone's in love with Oil now. The metals may come along for the ride, but not at the same rate they were running...no way. From what i've been hearing, new buyers have bought in fairly large portions and most likely wont be buying again, if anything, they'll be selling to take their almost immediate profits.
So who does that leave to be buying? People like us. I'll speak for myself...I aint doing any buying whatsoever of .999 and I have slowed my buying of 90% significantly. Why? Because I already have enough...why buy at these levels and RAISE my cost avg. when I can accumulate cash and buy on a dip that is sure to come with this volitility?

Yep, Ff has contacted me and said it'll be on the way soon, so he's making good on his word.

Anyone else wanna go on this one?
For 1 ASE, I'm saying Ag will hit $29.00 before it hits $35.00. Offer good til Sunday 5 PM CT.

You should get lots of takers from all the perma bulls from this forum. I'm not one of them, but my gut tells me, you're gonna loose this one.

If you win, you'll win $29.00 - if you lose, it's $35.00. Someone will take you up on that just to take advantage of the spread.image

Looks like a sure loser for you

Nothing is a sure thing in wagering and I wouldn't put it out there if I didn't mean it. It might take awhile for it to play out and a winner be determined as I think it's kind of stuck in a range right now...but I think the chance if it hitting $29 before it hits $35 has the best chance of happening.
First person to take me up on it is putting up 1 ASE against mine. I'm only doing 1, like I did with Frankie. So who's it gonna be this time?

Alright pitboss, we have a wager. Since I didn't define it, i'll leave it up to you. Does it matter if it's intra-day or are we going off the NY close? I will not go off of overseas markets, that's purely speculation and manipulating as evidenced by what happened last Monday when the stock market was closed for the Holiday.
lmk, and that's what it'll be.

I have no singles, or rolls. I dont like ASE's because they are grossly overpriced, but it seems to be what people wager on this site, so i'll go with the flow.

CME says high is $34.975. kitco says $35.02. How can that be and do we need a judgement call since neither of us stated which site would be used as reference?

This is what I go off of, not kitco.

For the record, I've pm'd and asked pitboss on a resolution to this and waiting for a reply.
CME (the site I use for pricing) had the hod @ $34.975, Kitco had it @ $35.02.

I'm not trying to get out of anything (I know some of you might be thinking that), but since neither pitboss or I said which site would be the site used to determine the actual price, I feel this is a fair question to ask and have proposed how to proceed with pitboss.

Probably going to hit $35+ by eow anyway, but just in case it doesn't, we need to know where this stands as of now.

I think $34.975 is close enough to $35 that pcsofme should probably pay up.
I know that I buy & sell by what the kitco price is at the moment... so do most here.

    LMAO!

I see all the piecesofme haters are rearing their ugly heads now. That's why I asked, I wonder if the value was in my favor if the "concensus" would be the same???

Whatever, it's gonna hit $35 by weeks end and at that time, I'll send pitboss an ASE.

I don't see what the hell you're talking about... haters? No.
I just figure 34.975 is pretty much splitting hairs... Kitco hit $35 today and that is generaly accepted as fact around here.
If it hit $29.03 I would say you won the bet.

It's $34.95 again here at 9:25 PM PST in overseas trading, still March 2nd so maybe it'll be official soon enough.

someone needs to go back and read. This was covered, the site we'd use to determine was not.

If that was the case, I wouldn't accept it until it actually got to $29.00 on CME, because CME is a source metals trading site, kitco is not.

Look, 1 freakin ASE isn't going to matter to me and pitboss has said as well in pm's. It's the point. It wasn't stated which site would determine price, and in fact, I don't know how there can be 2 different U.S. closing prices. This goes to show how bogus kitco really is. The CME site is what traders use. I'm sorry if you disagree, but I thought that was common knowledge. But since neither of us stated it and there's a different closing price, again, hth can that happen...clarification was needed.

There are two different markets I believe, there is Comex that is for futures and closes mid day, and then spot prices that are actual spot prices for instant transactions. The comex is for future contracts months a head, basically a call to buy basically at a price one month or months ahead. So Kitco, Apmex and others show the actual spot price sites during the day are valid. your agreement you stated intra day until it closes at 5:15 or what ever. which are the spot prices, so reaching that did put it over the $35 price.

ok, that explains some of it but you say you're not sure by saying "I believe", so I will ask you then why do the Comex and Kitco say the exact same thing after 1:30 for the actual live market price ? Not being a smart arse, just trying to understand what you're saying better. thanks
