Opinions on These Engelhard Bars

At first glance I thought this was just another poured P series 10oz bar. I've seen hundreds of this type bar but I've never seen a two alpha prefix before.
This looks like it was made this way. The letters are equal depth and the tonning is consistant into the deep parts of the letters. Has anyone seen this
before? I've only seen two alpha prefixs on 1 oz bars.
This second bar was purchased from the same B&M two weeks later. This is a poured bar with a very low serial number with a C prefix.
I can't recall any Engelhard poured bar with a C prefix. The low number suggests a low production run. It's very crude so it wouldn't be
surprising very few were made. (C = crude, crummy)
Any info on when these were made would be appreciated. These weigh and assay out correctly, but is someone messing around?

I did. Neither are pictured there.

I think the EP stands for Electroplate.

Putting this next to a P type bar I can see that the logo border and lettering are narrower on the EP bar. The serial number on the EP was shifted to the right to keep it centered.
They are exactly the same size even though that isn't obvious in the pictures.
I know i'm really reaching but I think it should be considered.
The 25 oz'er is very cool.
That is the flat of the serial punch. It's common on the older stamped bars. You can see the same effect in the top left of this group
The bar with the two letters is presumably an operator setup error, though I doubt if we will ever know for certain.
I still think it is kewl!
