1630 Potosi (Bolivia) 8 Reales 'Royal' (NGC AU 55.) The Finest Known of only a handful of examples. This historic, first dated Royal of all South America, struck from specially prepared dies, is an extremely important coin for collectors of Latin American numismatics. UNHOLED to boot !!!
In case it doesn't;
1779 Potosi Bolivia 8 Escudo NGC 63 WOW!!! This coin speaks for itself! Most probably, the finest (if not, tied for finest) Charles III Potosi 8E in existence!
That 1913, I'm going to guess Prussian, whatever it is, is absolutely beautiful. An amazing coin. The coin I am speaking of is midway of page 6 of this thread.

Collect for the love of the hobby, the beauty of the coins, and enjoy the ride.
Thanks to all who posted their coins while I was gone on the 31st. I have to run errands today or I would be working on saving the pictures for this mystery project. I just logged on and finished answering about 15 PMs so I have not had time to catch up yet. I might do that later tonight.
I think it's a safe bet to say I've got all the coins I need, now, and probably more than I need.
Thanks, everybody. I will try to keep y'all updated when the "mystery project" is completed or gets well underway.
Nothing ever came of this project. I was gonna have a deck of cards made up, which would've been neat, but I found myself lacking in the necessary funds and also (more importantly) the time and energy to do the photo edits.
Of course y'all can feel free to continue posting your favorite coins. If nothing else, it's been a nice "eye candy" thread.
(And if anybody with the time and money wants to take my deck-of-cards idea and run with it, go fer it! There are a number of companies that do custom photo decks.)
I like the deck of cards idea. Maybe our hosts will pick up on this and use their "million dollar registry set" shots to make party favors for the lunch at FUN next year.

Indeed. If the US Military can put Saddam and his henchmen on a deck of cards, why can't PCGS or the rest of us do that... with coins?
Hey, who would you rather look at while playing a hand of poker... Uday/Qusay/Harpo/Zeppo Hussein, Chemical Ali, some other mustachioed badguy... or Lady Liberty? Lady Liberty (or Brtannia, etc.) is a lot prettier. Particularly in numismatic form.
