I'm with RedHerring here...of my first submission order (5), mine all looked really nice...69's at the least, but i'm not the kind to submit NCLT (except in '08...ordred 1 Buffalo 1/2 oz'er (proof), and 1 plat 1/4 oz'er (unc)... Buff came back a PR70. plat came back an MS70).

It's the next order of 5 that are suspect of having problems.
    I'll come up with something.

    I returned 0/0

is this why mint orders take so long?

some people pick and choose expecting 70s?
and if they don't get them, return the selected few?

is there a 20% restocking fee?

    I am returning some.
They are not suitable as gifts for the folks I had in mind (beginner coin folks (YNs, etc)).
They are nice, except for all the small dots in their field that jump out at you (obv and rev) when you tilt the coin at all. Then, they are not so nice.
They would only be a coin suitable for a gift for someone who knows nothing about coins, won't likely learn anything about them, and/or just for the overpriced silver.

I haven't returned anything to the mint in a long time, and this saddens me image
(along with the return shipping fee)

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

24 sealed in various quantities. No returns. I don't collect these anymore, but this will be the last year that I buy these. I only bought these becasue they may have potential. Its a good bullion play with just $13 over spot also. Will be put away for 20 years.

It would do you some good to educate yourself on this topic by reading why people returned these coins. There are a couple of threads on this specific subject.

Wouldn't bullion be a better bullion play over 20 years saving most of that $13 (actually $16.50) over spot????

Proofs are collector items not base metal plays....

Yes it would. But was also looking at the collector value also if these will a lower mintage than usual.

a simple 10 coin submission I would guess.

With that percentage one would think the 69 pop should be much higher for the FS coins?

Keeping all 5. I do have one that is a bit suspect with a small spot. I just don't think I want to go through the hassle of returning it.

Would anyone be kind enough to post a shot of one they are returning and point out what is causing them to return it?

I got two and both were pristine.

For some reason, I've been very lucky so far with Mint issues.
