B R Mackay 10.72 oz bar

I have a jewelry store near my office which saves anything coin or bullion related that they buy over the counter. Its amazing what people are bringing in to sell as
scrap right now. He is a little store and purchased over 7000 in scrap gold jewelry this week alone. On a side note one of the larger jewelry stores in town
has purchased over 50,000 this week.

this bar came in today along with some 1/10gold eagles. I did some research and it appears to be a legit company. The lady who sold it
had it made from silver she saved from wroking as an xray tech in the 70's. I plan on sending it off as scrap tomorrow but thought I would check
out if it had any value above that before I sel to the local dealer. Bar is pretty banged up

I've owned one of these, when silver was in the low 14s, it would sell for 1-2 over spot. However with silver so high, you might just get spot. This isn't that rare.

We've had the brand in the store. No problems with them, they are just not popular.

I don't think I've ever seen a more ugly/crude bar. Looks like it was made in someone's basement.

When we buy them, we leave them out on sale (cheap) until our next silver burn, and then they die.

sold it the local dealer for 25.50 an ounce and it went straight to his melt bucket, which is where this one belonged, it was ugly.
