Interesing coin with very dramatic toning. I believe this was sold by Heritage recently. I haven't seen the coin in-hand, but it appears to be too darkly burnt to hold much luster over quite a bit of the surfaces.
I saw it before it got into its current holder. Not my style. Imo the coin will grow moss on its north side before the seller gets that kind of money for it. 20 Ps often come hammered in FH, and aren't all that scarce. The toning on this coin imo is not considered to be universally attractive, either.

Dizzyfox that is one very cool SLQ especially since cool toned ones are far and few between...Although dark at the top it still is very nice and one that i had contemplated purchasing a few weeks back but had other you might say Morgan commitments... Thanks for sharing the link...

That cat's eye tone is a bit dark and crusty for my taste.
Otherwise, outstanding detail.

This SLQ was worth more IMHO prior to being S.P.'d without being PQ enough for plus.
As it hammered high at Heritage IMHO in hopes of MS67

<< <i>dizzyfoxx, Do you still own this toned obverse/reverse 1920 I sold you in 2007

Regretfully, no.

Those scans don't do the coin justice, and Shane taught me how to read them toned images using his kryptonite x-ray vision.... I'm betting stunner!
But the price tag isn't to "stunning" IMO.

I'd smack you around a bit, but feel you may have smacked yourself around enough
