This will most likely be the shortest chapter.
I have decided not to bore everyone with pixs of the common items .... in any chapter .... so
here goes. Ooopppsss ... but first ... I know Engelhard made 20, 25 and 50 oz cast bars
as well as others. Personally, I never cared for them so I have never picked up any of them.
Also, My first shots with the camera set up so ...
First up .... is the VERY RARE 1 gram silver prospectors.
Just kidding!! .... these are 2010 private mint pcs.
OK .... now to the real stuff .....
Here we have some 3 oz. silver bars. Note the differences just within this small group. 3 oz. bars are
not rare and come up on Da-bay almost every week/month. Expect to pay $100 on the low end and $150
on the high end.
Next we have some 4 oz silver bars. Now these little guys are much tougher to find. I don't see these more than a
few times a year. Next time you see one, and you want it, don't hesitate .... it will be a while before the next one
comes along. Expect 4 oz. bars to run in the $150 to $250 range.
OK ...... Now we have the difficult 7 oz. silver bars. Like the 4 oz bars .... these come up very infrequently.
Again, if you see one offered and you want it ... " push the button". These usually run around $200 to $300.
Now for a bar that I like, butttt usually sells for more than I am willing to pay. The American Kilo bar. These are not all
that hard to find, but at $750-$1000 .... I just choke up a bit. If you see one, be willing to pay over spot ... but don't get
carried away .... another one will come along.
Now for my favorite Engelhard bar .... The rolled 50 oz. I really like this size/style bar. They are not rare, and they
do come up every so often. Expect to pay around $1k in today's market. Funny thing, I don't even have a cast 50!
Remember I said I was a collector / HORDER? Wellll.... 15 and counting.
So, you like silver Prospectors ..... The Fractional Prospectors. 5 oz. Original tubes of 1/10, 1/4 and 1/2 oz Prospectors
were made in 1985. Sales were so poor, that it became a one year only item. Singles are readily available .... but
the original tubes are a bit tougher. The 1/10 tube comes up every so often at $350 - $500 a pop. The 1/4 and 1/2 oz.
tubes are much harder to find .... but sell for the same price. Singles usually sell for $10 / $12 / $15 respectfully.
And now for something really different! Engelhard pendant bars. I have no idea how many or in what sizes and metals
these were made in .... butttt these little guys are neat!! [ I know, showing my age]. Notice that the bars do NOT have a
frame around them ... these were struck with the loop hole as part of the bar.
Well ..... Thats it for now .... Stay tuned for chapter 3!

HOw about sending a 4 ozer and a 7 ozer my direction!!
Do you have a pic of the 16.075 engelhard bar that comes in a wooden box? Me and Agblox saw one on ebay and talked about it a while back
Many members on this forum that now it cannot fit in my signature. Please ask for entire list.
No ...... I saw that bar as well, and let it go because ..
1] It went higher than I was willing to go.
2] I was NOT convienced that the box was an original box.
2.5 gram 14K gold pendant. I did not realize they sold 14K products.
I understand that Engelhard also made 14K 5 & 10 Gram pendants as well.
