Pick my metal newp for the week

My dealer had several raw unc 1/4 eagles and 6 or 7 10-oz old style A-Mark .999 stackers.

I'm torn. Should I get one 1/4 eagle, or two of the 10-oz silver bars? Either choice is in the $350 ballpark. Lil' less for the gold, lil' more for the silver.

Winning vote by the time I head out for lunch tomorrow (Thursday) will be what I buy. I get a single vote, too.

    What is your current silver to gold ratio? I like to keep mine about even, so I'm in gold buying mode at the moment.

    PERSONALLY, I'd go with the gold as I have a lot of silver.

    my vote for the 1/4 oz gold tied it up at 15 to 15.

    I only voted for the gold because I have yellow fever and just picked up a nice XF $5 Lib yesterday for $299 out the door.

    Well actually I was never sure. I made sure I could log into CU via my blackberry, but I didn't think to check if I could see the poll results. Apparently the blackberry browser doesn't let me view them. When I checked early this morning, silver was winning over gold. But I didn't get back to the office today before I got to the coin shop, so I wasn't sure who won.

    Actually it doesn't matter. My dealer had sold all of the A-Mark bars by the time I got there. I'm actually a little bummed. I would have bought the bars as a default since the last time I saw the poll silver was ahead. Can't believe he sold them all in the few hours between visits! Thanks to everyone who voted. That was kind of fun and it would have been neat to have either option.

    Anyway, the winner by default:

    I snagged a small handful of 90%, too, since I wasn't able to get the silver bars. I'll post a group pic in tomorrow's porn thread.

    I said "ballpark". I paid $315 out the door.
