Wow, my team is showing true ineptitude today. A poor, poor showing against the Rockcats. Celek is getting shutout by Dallas in the first half. I made a bad choice at most positions this week as my bench lit it up. Oh well, even with my futility so far, I still have an outside chance to win. I need Schaub and Ahmad Bradshaw and Billy Cundiff to step it up tomorrow
Hey..I'm ahead by 50 and all he has is a kicker left. As soon as I start talking junk, the kicker will score 50 by himself and set a new fanatasy record for poitns score by a kicker.

I got screwed with a couple key injuries in the last couple weeks including the icing on the cake losing Frank Gore. Well I look forward to next year, hopefully we have a season.
Provided Yahoo doesn't make any scoring changes, here are the results of round 1 of the playoffs:
thenavarro 110.82 So. Central Rockcats 108.46
BP Oilers 86.06 bobbyw8469 132.76
JOE KNOWS! 116.80 TEAM USSR 88.34
X-Factor 86.94 Dark Horse 92.32
So the final four matchups are:
thenavarro vs. Joe Knows!
and
Bobbyw8469 vs. Dark Horse
Dark Horse had a nice comeback victory tonight and the Rockcats and I had a great battle that came down to the last play. I don't frequently watch pro games as I love college football so much more, but I was glued to the TV and PC tonight to watch. What a fun game.
#1 Mike clipped my last-seed Rockcats by less than 2 points- for a while it looked like I'd win, then Schaub had a monster 2nd half and almost put it out of reach. The game ended with my Ravens picking off a pass and returning it for a touchdown but it still wasn't enough. Good thing I played James Starks and his .80 points vs. sitting a RB that would have gotten 10, and I played Michael Bush of the 3 points fame and sat another RB that got 12 points. So a narrow defeat against the powerhouse #1 seed--But the entertainment value of this league was absolutely worth it!
Good luck to all you guys with the rest of the playoffs! That's some nice money laying out there for some one to claim!
Steve So. Central Rockcats
and ps- if any of you can play QB, please call the Minnesota Vikings front office

I think Mike is just running an elaborate point shaving fantasy football scheme. With a slight of the mouse, he adjusts the scores when we're least expecting it. I'm on to you Mike. Is it any surprise that the commish was the number one seed? I think not.

LOL, It's all audited by the independent accounting firm of Michael S. Navarro, CPA (wink, wink)
Why is gameusedhoop picking up active players when he not even playing? That kind of activity doesn't seem right to me at all, IMO..

Thanks for pointing that out. I'm not having any of that nonsense in my league. I just locked the 8 teams that are out of the game from making any adds or drops.

Pretty damn stupid of him to do this if you ask me.
I am in the losers bracket and refuse to pickup players at this point, let those still in the run for the money have the shot at those players.
Well stated and the way it should be in any money league.
Collecting 1970s Topps baseball wax, rack and cello packs, as well as PCGS graded Half Cents, Large Cents, Two Cent pieces and Three Cent Silver pieces.
WOW!!! After last night, I want a shot at Vincent Jackson. But someone who isn't playing either playoff (Winner/Consolation) picked him up!! Well, now there is controversy/drama in the PSA fantasy football league. I guess it wouldn't be normal without it........
Sorry if I offended anyone. Not like I was dropping good players for someone to pick-up, I was just playing out the rest of the season, sort of like the Buffalo Bills. I didn't put in any waiver claims and only picked up Free Agents after the waivers had passed. I figured that if someone wanted something that they would have had them by now.
What DID affect the league and standings was Crimson Tide who TANKED it from week 8 until week 12. He handed wins to Bobbyw, team USSR, JRPurpleD's, Wolfie, and JoeKnows. Each week he started a player (Deangelo Williams) who was on IR, and 2 of the weeks he started a player with a bye week. No one ever complained about that. Why? Oh yeah, it was an easy win for them. All they had to do was put in players who weren't in street clothes.
Once again, no one put me up to it, I have no alliances here, and I did give anyone who was still in it a shot at all the players. Every other league I've been in everyone has played out the string, keeping it fair for everyone.
Picture Goodell saying to the Bills, Lions or any team that is out of the playoff hunt, your roster is now frozen. You can't pick up any free agents. Suh would still be kicking for the Lions if that was the case.
And, BTW, not one of you sent me an email or contacted me, when all someone had to do was say something. No, just jump on a public forum and start making accusations etc., nice way to treat a "friend".
I think Crimson Tide actually beat me with a player on a BYE week....(not sure who it was...just know that I lost to someone who had a player on a bye week).
PS- not sure if you can finish out the season if you aren't accumilating points against someone??? Who is your opponent this week?
bobbyw8469 75.30 The Crimson Tide 48.80 Had a player on IR and another on a bye week.
If I wasn't still in the league why does Yahoo allow me to set a team, make transactions, and still tally my points?
Now if you want to talk $$ and can talk Mike out of locking the teams, I could be drop some guys for you to pick up. Just kidding of course, but I did drop Steve Smith. and when he is able to walk again he can produce some nice points.
It's been a relatively smooth season so far, and for that, I say "Thanks!" to everyone. I had to make a decision last night, and I made the decision that I thought was in the best interest of everyone that was still left in the game (even for teams in slots 5-8 who are playing now for pride and not for $$$). That decision was to "lock" the roster of the teams that are no longer involved in contested matchups. I believe it was the right decision, and next year I will be sure and make that part of the first post, that every team that does not make the playoffs, will have their roster locked at the end of the regular season. I apologize for not having that as a rule early on, but I am a rookie commish, and try to learn as I go along. I thought that was the default, and didn't realize it was something I had to "lock" manually.
I don't take enough active interest in it to watch every transaction, or every game, and have "commished" under the assumption that if someone saw a problem, they would bring it to my attention. I don't know what I could have done about "Crimson Tide" , other then send them a PM or email to ask that they at least make an attempt, but quite frankly I didn't know that was going on until I read the posts this AM.
Gameusedhoop is good in my book, and I don't believe that his transactions did anything but better his own team, but I did lock out the nonplayoff teams, as I feel it's the right thing to do.
Carry on, and good luck in the playoffs to everyone that's left.
You can't play out the string if your season is over. Picking up viable players when your team is completely done for the season and other teams are playing for money is just wrong in every way.
Collecting 1970s Topps baseball wax, rack and cello packs, as well as PCGS graded Half Cents, Large Cents, Two Cent pieces and Three Cent Silver pieces.
I also noticed that Crimson tide was not fielding even close to optimal lineups, but didn't say anything about it which I now regret. With out casting any further judgements, I would hope that this owner is not invited back next year.
Anybody on the board reading this from the Cincy area? I've got about 40 mnutes to decide whether or not to play a "questionable" Terrell Owens or a "Probable" Kevin Walter. I haven't been able to find out this AM from TV or internet if Owens is playing or not. Anyone know??
