What is a fair punishment for a coin doctor?

In some countries they would loose a hand or 2.

Well that's a bit rough. A couple of fingers on each hand would be sufficient.

Sir Isaac Newton sent counterfeiters to the gallows.
Sounds right to me.
Coin doctors deserve punishment only to the degree they ply their trade to defraud.
Submission priviledges could be reinstated in 3012 but only for coins dated 3013 or newer.
The name is LEE!
Coin "molesters" are quite a bit down the list.
<< <i>The standard for child molesters is castration; for child killers/rapists it is being fixed to a bologna slicer set on automatic with the motor running.

So... castration via screw press?

Hi there,
from reading that suit thread and others it seems many already know who some or many of these people are in the upper regions of the dealer world.

#2. Laser their hairlines.
#3. Put nose grease on their fields, devices and rims.
#4. Dip them [immersion up to their lips, then quickly remove them] in acetone while they are smoking a cigarette.
#5. Dip them [total immersion for ten seconds] in undiluted jewel luster with their eyes, nose, mouth and ears open.
#6. Bake them in an oven at 450 degrees for an hour, after giving them a thin coating of cooking oil.
#7. Wrap them in Taco Bell napkins, set them on a window sill for two weeks in 110 degree plus direct sunlight.
#8. Put them in a hole in a super sized Wayte Raymond album and place in a warm, dry closet for 40 years.
I'd considered it a good punishment for the Enron/Wall Street types. I think it would do nicely for these folks as well.

This along with establishing an escrow account for yet-to-be discovered "doctored coins".
Who knows how many more are yet to be discovered and how much they might cost to buy back.
Though I would also agree with some of the more "painful" punishments.
Oh man!

Well, there goes my neighborhood.
The price of gold is set by faith, or lack of, in the currency it is priced in.
In the lawsuit, the PCGS (CU) argues that submitting doctored coins is not just a breach of contract, the PCGS claims coin doctoring is both a civil offense and a criminal offense. I discuss these issues in my analysis of this lawsuit. I hope that the readers of this thread will read my analysis. I welcome comments from those who disagree with my positions or question my analysis for other reasons. Thank you.
