    Wanted to share a story. My son was born almost 3 years ago here in Chicago. Being our first kid, my wife had a particularly long labor (22 hours). We arrived at the hospital at 7am, and I sat there with her until around 3pm. By this time, my wife was out on pain meds, and my mother had arrived to be with us. I asked the doctor about how much longer it was going to be, and he said "many hours". I asked my mom if she would be fine if I ran out for an hour or so, and she happily agreed. I went directly to my bank...withdrew $1,000, and then drove right to the nearest coin shop. I had decided that since I did not own a single saint, this would be the perfect opportunity! The most beautiful gold coin in the world for the most beautiful day. I bought a nice 1924 in an NGC 63 for around $850. I then returned to the hospital, and when our son drew his 1st breaths at around 3am, I placed that gold coin in front of his face. I swear his eyes lit up with gold fever!!! It is one of just 2 coins that I own that has any sentimental value. It will be a gift to him, from us on his 18th birthday, along with the story so he doesnt immediately pawn it for beer money!image

    I have two of my own, ages 5 and 3. Just wait till they're old enough to start playing with and asking about your coins/PMs. Just one of many, many fun things with kids.

    @ CaptHenway: he does look like Mr.Churcill (a little cuter, maybe image ), I didn't notice it. Hope he can have such a bright future.

    @ Zubie: I will be more than happy to share our experience. I am not going to sell my PM unless we need some extra cash. In the last few months though, I mainly bought whatever I felt easily saleable.
