    There is no crust on this T$1... it's just old time tarnish.

    I don't know if I would call that crust. It appears to me to be the result of having been cleaned or otherwise washed at some point.

    I have to agree with TomB on this one (unfortunately) ... it appears to have been cleaned at some point and then it subsequently toned dark,
    and does not appear to have the original "crust" we often hope for on these grades

    JMHO

    I for one think the group is being way to hard. Maybe(!) a soap bath 75 years ago but that is the look TPG love for the level of wear. PCGS should grade that VG-10 all day long. Nice coin
