I been at it too long

It has just dawned on me that I Came to for for the company I'm with 30 years ago today. Man April 15, 1980 seems so long ago. But, it enables me to buy coins and such.

Today's also my anniversary at work.
Only 6 years with this company, but I've worked in the same field since high school - 1991.
It's hard to believe it's been 19 years.

Today companies like to fire the older workers so that they can hire the young ones for less money. That makes it hard to be with a company as long you have been with yours.
The all time record I've known was one guy in the first place I worked after college graduation. He'd been there for 48 years. They made him retire an age 65, but then hired him back to the same job as a consultant.
