100 oz JM bars from APMEX

Got this in email this afternoon. All my silver holdings are either 90% or ASE and while I have been thinking about picking up some bars I am uncertain if 100 oz is what I want or not. Is this a good buy? Are these a good way to hold silver? Thanks.

    I'll take 10 ( just purchased 20 x 10 oz Scottsdale stackers for almost $1.50 above spot)

BTW APMEX has their Engelhard 100 oz bars on sale for $.39 over spot. Now that's even a better deal.

If silver goes above $20 per oz, it would not surprise me to see them selling some of their common bars at spot.

10oz Johnson Matthey bars are $1.99 over spot at Apmex right now. I would have bought a bunch myself at .59 cents over!

    That's a good price for a J-M bar.

Today, a friend and I met up with an older gentleman that sold me some silver on ebay a couple weeks ago. He had some listings for JM bars and I noticed he was from my city on his listing. Long story short, I email the guy and he says he has some 5oz and 10oz JM silver bars from 1980s-90s that he bought at like $4/oz. We agree to meet at a local restaurant and tells me he'll bring some of the bars. My friend and I end up buying 100ozs each at spot! No ebay, no sales tax, no shipping charges! Great transaction all around!!!! Later, he says he has a ton more back at the house and I think he is my new supplier of silver for the foreseeable future!!! Today was a good day!!!image
